I had Otterbox for my Droid Maxx and I must have dropped that thing every other day during the year and a half of ownership. Still looks like the day I bought it, dropped it on concrete from several feet while on a ladder not a scratch. Just a side note, I wish the hard shell was not so slippery but it does get better over time. But overall this case is just as rugged as the one for my Droid was, so I am very confident that my Galaxy S8 will be protected.

I bought the Commuter for my new S8 and couldn't be happier. I got the black tpu liner with the blue shell. The case is not as bulky as previous models but still gives me a little extra grip. I also love the texture on the sides for sure handling. It's not the cheapest case out there but I can't imagine a better balance of sleek functionality and protection. Highly recommend.
