I spend a lot of time on our farm/ranch and my phone gets knocked around fairly regularly. I already knew that the Defender case was excellent, but I had my doubts about this Alpha screen protector. It does NOT scratch as easily as I thought it would. In fact, I haven't put a single scratch on it yet.

I bought this at the end of December and installed it right after new years. I have a Defender case, and it was supposed to work perfectly with that case. Within a week of having it on it developed a crack down the side, which then spread all over the screen. The touch controls were all thrown off due to the crack and I ended up having to take it off because it made the phone useless. NOTE** I did not drop the phone at all during this time. The crack just appeared one day, out of the blue! I think it is because it was not a good fit with the Defender Case, and it was putting pressure on the side of the glass, causing it to crack. I would not buy again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Top of screen features very difficult to access. Pulling down settings requires multiple attempts. All selections near the edges are frustrating, requiring multiple hits.

I love this thin case and have dropped my phone multiple times since having it. I would have given it 5 stars but I do not like that the case retains this black lining, possibly from being in my pockets. Consider adding a feature that does not stain the phone or where you can easily wipe it away. I've tried and it only discolors the case or you're left with a smear. Soap and water does nothing to clean it so I tried using and alcohol pad, that's what left the smear.
