Screen protectors are about the most boring accessory you can purchase for your phone, because you don't see them, they just go about their business transparently protecting your screen. I am running the Alpha Glass on my s8+ with a Symmetry case. I have had the Symmetry case since April (day one on the phone; reviewed that as well). FYI, sand WILL scratch the S8 glass, despite Samsung's commercial; my phone is proof. The glass is a perfect match for the case in terms of fit; all edges are against the phone glass with no clicking at all. Watch the video to see how to install, you can use the case as a placement guide. I have had the glass on one week, no issues. All areas of the touch screen work like they should, and the glass feels like the phone's glass. Decided to spend the extra $$ over competing products to get glass that is designed to work with my case, as well as the lifetime warranty, so I should only be making this purchase once. Also, FYI, I can still see the scratches under the Alpha Glass , but I bought it to prevent further damage to the phone glass. Don't buy in hopes of making scratches disappear.

The glass is nice and clear. The only issue I have with it is that it is not cut just right to function with an otter box defender case. The power button does not want to press right, or you have to over press it to reach the button on the phone.

I purchased a new Samsung galaxy S8+ and while at the store I got a outterbox case for it. The case doesn't come with a screen protector so I also purchased an alpha glass for it. Both were put on a brand new out of the box phone. It was installed per the instructions the alpha glass came with. It worked fine for a couple of days then the top of the screen became difficult to operate and I could hear a noise like the adhesive was losing its contact with the phone screen. It got bad enough that the upper part of the screen was almost impossible to use. I was hoping it was a fluke and ordered another from outtterbox. When it arrived, I cleaned and prepped the phone screen as directed by the supplied instructions. The alpha glass worked as it should for two days and then began having the same issue as the previous one, it was difficult if not impossible to use the top portion of the phones screen. The top drag down menu was a nightmare to attempt to access. After the second alpha glass problem I googled alpha glass problems and saw numerous complaints that were exactly like the issues I had. I've used outterbox cases for yrs with great results but the alpha glass screen protector has proven to be a waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If I could give a rating of 0, I would’ve. The protector went on my phone with ease and fit (without any cases) perfectly. However, pressing the screen buttons after that was difficult and inaccurate. It didn’t get any better when I put my Otterbox case on either. Then 6 days later I’m trying to send a text, and it seemed as if the protector had lifted on 1 side, so I pressed it down with normal pressure and the glass cracked on the middle edge, then it spread across the whole screen protector. When I removed the protector, there were a few scratches on one of the corners of my phone screen that were not there before. I have used Otterbox cases for years and haven’t ever been disappointed, but this glass protector was a complete disappointment!

I bought both the defender and alpha glass from my s8 plus.
I have used defenders for the last 5 years working In construction great product.
About 1 month after purchasing I found that alpha glass has lifted from the screen on the left-hand side making it impossible to type. I have reseated it twice since then but problem returns after a few days
If problem persist will have to remove alpha glass from defender completely. Hope original screen is up to the construction world.
