Awesome sound but poor compatibility

I was given this as a gift for Christmas and was incredibly excited. I tried it with my blackberry through bluetooth and it worked great. I then tried my iphone 5, ipad 2, and Vaio laptop and nothing through bluetooth. No recognition at all. After writing support I come to find out supposedly its not even compatible with iphone or ipad. It requires an NFC bluetooth connection after reading the user manual. This has been very frustrating and disappointing for many reasons. Mostly because I've happily a dedicated Sony patron for close to 20 years. Now I don't know all the logistics of making it compatible with Apply products but why release such a capable device and make it non-compatible with arguably the most compatible devices on the market or even more so non-compatible with one of there own products. Sadly, I'm not understanding this. I'm not meaning to throw a bunch of mud at Sony because I still love there products. But this is one spot where they really dropped ball and seriously pulled something with such incredible potential from excellency. I think anyway.......

I use it mainly in our kitchen. Very good sound for the size of the init. The bass response is so good I very seldom use the bass boost. I use it with my ipad. The bluetooth feature works well.

The speaker is powerful and accurate as it relates to sound. Bass is great. Compared to Bose and this was as good if not better and a better price. Easy to connect to Bluetooth.

This blue tooth speaker does everything it is suppose to. I wish it had WiFi capabilities. Set up was very easy and it paired with all my devices.

Disappointed

I am very disappointed in this item. I never had problems with Sony products until now. These speakers buffer/skip a lot so audio quality is bad, plus music waves cause it to move and fall to the floor. I barely use it out of fear it will break. I've only owned it for a few months so I doubt Sony can help me.. Will probably resell.
