Amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who has a lot of house guest that come and go from time to time, this deadbolt is a life saver! I no longer have to provide keys to friend and family, but just a custom code for them! It looks great and is super easy to install and use!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Product malfunction 2x

I have now had 2 Kwikset 888 Smartcode Electronic devices. I’ll admit my first unit lasted over a year, with no issues for our Airbnb/rental property. This past fall season we noticed the lock mechanism would stick. We’re reviving flags from our guests. It appears the device didn’t have enough power to push the lock to lock/unlock positions. We had mistakenly assumed this was general wear and tear, and promptly bought a 2nd device 3 months ago. We have had the same issues. The lock not being able to be mobilized with the code. It jams, sticks and code malfunctions. At this stage we are using the standard manual key for guests . It has been incredibly frustrating to have a persistent issue, not to mention having to re-do all the keys to the households and rental properties.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're here to help! It sounds like your lock might be jamming. To fix this make sure the door frame jamb hole is at least 1 inch deep, and check your door alignment. Next, recalibrate the latch by performing the manual door-handing process: https://youtu.be/jhE5Nilog54

Terrible Lock Do NOT BUY!

I bought and installed this lock and it didnt work. They sent me another one and it doesn't work either. Terrible lock, takes forever to install and then doesn't work! Total Crap
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
