Great build quality BUT.....

The pairing process was fairly straight forward yet the issue I am now encountering is the battery depletion. I find myself having to replace the batteries every three days.....literally. I've explored various resources including SmartThings forums where several users report the same issue; a potential defective z-wave board. I have tried resetting the lock and adding it multiple times to my SmartThings hub with the same results. Just a first-hand experience, it could be a one-off issue.

We recommend measuring the door frame jamb hole to ensure that it's at least 1 inch deep, check your door alignment, and perform the manual door handing step. It has added a new level of security to our house and I could not be happier! The code is easy to input and the lock is very secure. The product is also easy to install and very stylish! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to install this lock. It took no more than 15 minutes and it fit almost perfectly where my old lock was...just one quick adjustment was needed. The deadbolt is solidly made, it absolutely makes me feel more safe and secure. I am a huge fan of the electronic touch pad. I love that it is backlit and they are some many different number combinations you can choose from. I love that I can give a separate code to guests to enter our home if we are not home. I was happy to see that batteries are even included. I am relieved that it comes with keys as a backup to lock or unlock the door.
I am very impressed with all of the safety features this lock has. I like that I can lock the door with the touch of a button. The keypad stays lit for a bit after use, which is nice. I am looking forward to connect it to my home devices to check out all of the other features especially being able to lock and unlock the door while I am away, if needed.
The satin nickel finish is beautiful and the interior park of the lock is very sleek looking. Very satisfied with this deadbolt system.

Good until....

Loved everything about this lock. It has been working perfectly since we purchased our home. Now for some reason two of the number buttons (1-2, 7-8) have completely stopped working. The door will lock but won’t unlock with our code as it contains one of those numbers. Not sure what is happening but batteries are good and it is still connected to my security system.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No backlight

The lock button is the only button that is lit. Depending on where you install it you may need a flashlight to enter code in the dark. That is about 60% of the time for me. Disappointing.

The light from the lock button will allow keypad number buttons to be visible, to then enter your user code for unlocking.
