Does not function as advertised

The vacuum is supposed to be intelligent enough to return to it's docking station to recharge when it's battery is depleted. Instead it roams around looking for the docking station until it's battery dies. The whole point of an automatic vacuum is to save time and feel confident that it'll keep the floors clean. Without intervention, this robot can't even recharge or finish it's task.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cleaning Machine!

I've had the vacuum for about a month now and absolutely love it! It definitely gets anything off of the hard floors and gets all the dirt out of the carpet. I LOVE the edge cleaner, it's not always perfect, but it sure does make life a little easier. Sometimes it can seem to get a little confused as to where in the house it's at in relation to the dock, but it does a fantastic job of getting rooms thoroughly cleaned. I've had 2 other brands before I got this one, and I'll be sticking with Samsung after this one bites the dust. It was definitely a splurge, but it was well worth it!
Pros: Bright display, quiet on low setting, long battery, great suction
Cons: pricey
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was excited to get this robot vac. But after using it a few times I am very disappointed. It works fine in an empty room. But if there is any kind of furniture then it has a problem. It seems to get confused and does not seem to be able to find it's way around things, especially in a corner. It bumps back and forth but doesn't appear to be able to turn itself around. It I stop it, pick it up, and set it out of the corner then it will start up again and turn around and head back to the corner. I finally picked it up and took it to the other side of the room and restarted it. When it ran out of charge and needed to recharge it just stopped and did not seem to be able to find it's way back to the charger stand.
I have never had one of these robots before but after my experience with this one I don't think I'm going to get another one!!
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations

Falls short

I patiently and excitedly waited for this top line model (7090) of the powerbot line to come out, to replace a 3 year old Neato model 85. So far it has been decidedly disappointing to say the least. I will give it props for having good suction, but beyond that it falls short of the 85. It would seen the tracking/mapping function is almost pathetic as it rarely finds its own way back to the base to charge (I almost always have to pick it up after it gets "lost"). Because of this, it NEVER is able to complete a full cleaning cycle of the whole house. I am hoping perhaps a firmware update can fix this problem, but if not it will be the single most expensive electronic lemon I have purchased. I may return this and go back to the neato brand.
