Not a smart vacuum and doesn't make life any bette

I tried to love this thing, I love samsung in general (6 TVs, 3 smart locks, 2 vacuums, microwave, washer, dryer, dishwasher, oven, phones, etc) but its awful. I own and am returning both the R7090 and R7065 today. I purchased them to make my girlfriends life easy, and she straight up told me they're making her miserable and I was feeling the same way
1) Frequently gets lost/cant dock. >80% of the time
2) Smash into things HARD. Like knock over lights and break bulbs hard. Ran straight into one of my sleeping dogs and he was yelping for a good minute
3) Gets stuck on every possible ledge, every single transition, and just grinds its wheels
4) Gets stuck under anything it can fit under
5) Damages property all the time by getting stuck them backing up into things, its torn up our table and chair legs just grinding against them for 10 minutes
6) Disconnects from smartthings/wifi all the time. Constantly have to re-pair these things
7) The brush on the R7090 is far worse than the brush on the R7065. Its now falling apart after maybe 10 uses, literally losing pieces
8) The way the clips are to hold the brush in, they constantly unclip
9) The way the brush clips into the vacuum is causing it to wear and round. In a few weeks this vacuum would likely no longer be able to turn the brush as it would be rounded off too far
10) The contacts on the bottom of the robot for charging get filthy, you have to manually go and clean them because they're dragging on the ground all day. No idea why these are not recessed even 2-4mm to protect them
11) The 'cyclone' bin clogs all the time. This is worse on the R7090 than on the R7065 due to the 'self cleaning' brush that chops up hairs just long enough to clog the vacuum. You have to clean/empty this constantly
12) The mapping features - they're really non-existent. It doesn't remember anything, you cant set any barriers, it has no clue where it is, and the maps its drawing must be of somebody elses house because I dont have 5 bedrooms upstairs or 2 rooms downstairs. Sometimes it maps my house like its 5x bigger than it really is because its constantly lost. It clearly cant reference any previous trips
13) They damage themselves damaging everything else. The outside of both of these have so many deep scratches you would think they were chained to a bumper and we dragged them down the street.
14) They never use the 'edge' mode to clean my hallways. Maybe at 1 or 2 spots, but the other 2000 where it should happen it just ignores and drives around
15) The R7090 today starting having a wheel fail or something (dragging a wheel occasionally), and the motor will suddenly and unexplained bog down and sound awful. I have no doubt it's on it's "Last leg"

Poor design, pet hair clogs vacuum cleaner

I purchased this vacuum cleaner based on its name "PetRobot". I have to long-hair cats and I was hoping the vacuum cleaner will help keep my flow and carpet clean. So fay I am very disappointed. Pet's hair clogs the path to the dirt collection container within a few minutes of operation. This, in addition to the very instrusive app (asks for permissions for contacts, photos, etc!) results in a very poor product. SAMSUNG, I am very disappointed.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I set this machine up to clean a three-room suite on a daily basis, and I am amazed at the amount of dirt and dust that it picks up. It does a very thorough job cleaning, especially under the bed! I did have to learn not to leave things on the floor in order not to create obstacles, and I will note that the robot will choke on some things (dryer sheets), but once my training was complete, the robot has settled down to a very efficient routine. By the way, it's easy to clear snags and set the robot free to clean. The machine has gotten lost once or twice trying to return to the charging base, but that's probably because of my placement of the base. All in all, I'd say that this is a great value for a working household, and it doesn't seem to bother the pets at all.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The 7090 was advertised on the internet as having a mapping feature. Was informed we probably got an earlier model and it does not have that feature.

Cleans well. But not with all advertised features.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no mapping feature. advertises that it does., i believe we received an older model.

POWERbot™ R7090 Pet Robot Vacuum

I have this product for over two weeks and it continues to impress me. I have 2400 sqft house with 3 dogs and a cat. It keeps my floors and carpets clean everyday. Even with heavily shedding cat and dog. I just have to make sure that I empty out the dirt reservoir. We even named it Sam as a pet. Minimized general floor and carpet cleaning to every other week.
Pros: reasonably priced as compared to dyson robot, cleans magnificently
I would recommend this to a friend!
