Seemed great initially, but now it goes off when you close the gate, not open it. What's with that?

Hello Jtbear,
Thank you for reaching out to us and sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your most recent experience with our Swann Gate Alert Kit. The sensors included in this kit can work with distances of up to 200 feet. Take into consideration the number of walls the wireless signal must pass through and their construction. The more solid the building material or the more metal the signal must pass through the more impact it has on the wireless signal. Also, take note of electrical equipment and other appliances that may affect the wireless signal. If you have not already, please contact a member of our technical support team for further assistance. Click on the blue box on the bottom right-hand corner to live chat with a technical support agent or contact us over the phone.
