Hello Clarkie67-We appreciate you taking the time to share your review. We are so sorry to hear you are having this issue with your refrigerator freezing everything. We are happy to help! If foods, such as fruits and vegetables, in the refrigerator are freezing, it can be caused by several things. First, check the dial, it should be set at 4. The proper fresh food temperature is between 38 and 42 degrees Fahrenheit. The freezer should be between 0 and 8 degrees Fahrenheit.
Since the cold air coming into the fresh food section originates in the freezer above, the rear of the top shelf will be the coldest spot in the fresh food area. Avoid placing delicate items that freeze easily on the back half of this shelf.
If food is freezing in the produce (fruits and vegetables) or meat pan, it may be that the temperature controls are not set high enough. Since cold air naturally falls, the pans can get too cold if the refrigerator is not running long enough to maintain good air circulation. Adjust both controls up one notch. Great fridge/freezer for extra storage space!

My husband and I purchased this refrigerator about 2 months ago because we needed extra room for food and beverages. It does the job nicely. We store mostly beverages in it, and leftover food from supper time which creates more room in our main refrigerator. It keeps everything cool and the freezer works great too!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quit working

Bought this fridge less than 6 months ago. It quit working and all freezer food was spoiled.

What I needed.

Great basic small fridge. Settings have to be very low, or it gets too cold. Too cold on a fridge is not really a problem, if you know about it, and take time to get the settings in the right place.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't buy for your Garage!

I bought this fridge intentionally to use in my small, condo size garage. I talked with the store before buying specifically for that purpose. I waited 5 months for Haier to manufacture and ship and then to arrange for store delivery. Imagine my EXTREME disappointment to learn that is will not function properly, freezer will not stay at frozen temperature, if the outside temperature is below 60 degrees F. Haier does not sell an adapter or insulator kit to retrofit for safe garage use. Other brands do. A potential food safety issue. Nice size, color, organization but totally unusable in my space. Very disappointed.

I bought this about 45 days ago and it has work great as second refrigerator. It’s in our laundry room. Food stays cold and freezer works great. No issues so far. Holds more drinks and food than we thought. Wish they would build one with equal size freezer and refrigerator sections.
