I bought this because my kitchen fridge went on the "blink" and I didn't know how long it would take to fix. Keeping it as an extra in my basement.

Why do items placed on bottom refrigerator shelf freeze? Cannot use 5 or 4 settings; only 3. Is that by design? Seems odd.

Haven't had for long. So far so good. Needed a smaller secondary refrigerator to store food in. Keeps food cold and freezer works well.
