After going over many different options for our small apartment, and reading hundreds of reviews and visiting several stores in person, we finally made the choice for this Haier fridge, and we are SO glad we did! After going over many different options for our small apartment, we finally made the choice for this one. We love the fact that you can put a gallon of milk in there. Plenty of room in both the freezer as well as the refrigerator section. The noise never exceeds 30 dB. Finally, we don’t have to dive into the fridge to find items. We can have our things organized and still feel like we have room left! This is definitely a huge upgrade from our Avanti fridge that was 20 years old and was getting loud and leaked water on our wooden kitchen floor. We will definitely miss the simple ice cube trays that you could twist and turn to get a new fresh ice cubes because this fridge has none of that and it doesn’t come with any egg holder section either, but that’s OK. We have our own. If there’s an If there’s anything that we would’ve appreciated even more it might’ve been more shelves in the refrigerator door itself, but the shelving inside of the fridge makes up for it. up and down to make space for bottles. We ordered this fridge with the door swinging open to the left, because that makes more sense in our kitchen. Definitely something to think about. You can have factory/store attach doors to open in two different directions. I thought that was pretty cool. Speaking of cool: fridge got up to the perfect cooling temp in no time after it was installed. Just check out the pictures. I think that will tell you everything!

Not much longevity

Nice compact form-factor. Died after 6 months use, in a climate controlled basement. Underwhelming to say the least.

Had high whistling noise after fridge or freezer was opened. Service found piece of rubber brushing fan. Sides of fridge feel warm.

Buyer Beware

We bought this Fridge June 2022 and it waits 1 year and 1 month to quit working. Compressor makes an extremely loud noise, and from experience I know that it’s the sound of the compressor struggling. It is about to completely stop working. Do not buy this fridge if you need it to last more than 1 yr!!!

We bought this unit in July 2020 to use as a secondary overflow refrigerator in our basement. Last week it stopped working altogether ruining all of our food. We participate in a farm share each month and had the freezer stocked with meats so obviously pretty bummed. All had to be thrown out. Definitely thought this would last a lot longer.
