Great except Oven Temperature Setting

I have not been cooking a lot. When I do I really appreciate the stovetop's low simmer and rapid response but my experience with the oven is that it is running at a lower temperature. I seem to remember that there is an adjustment to correct this. However, for the price I think the factory should have made that adjustment and delivered a properly calibrated oven.

This is a fabulous range!

I have been cooking with gas for years, but did not want to install a big propane tank for my island cottage, where I spend 6 months a year. This very responsive stove is just the solution. Great features, lots of usable settings, vs. complicated products that have settings I never use. I owned a GE Profile range before an loved it too, except that the black glass top was very hard to keep clear under the gas burners. Not a problem with this range...

I needed to replace all my cookware, but it was worth it! Definitely have the console in lock position whenever it is not being used, control panel is very touchy. :-)

Hadsome, Powerful, and Convenient

Burners heated up food faster than our last convect. cooktop. Has been reliable and intuitive to operate. Oven reheats fast and is well-lit. The bun warmer below the oven is convenient. It can also be used to warm the plate-ware. One concern is that the control panel gets quite hot when running the oven. This may be typical for slide-ins. the trade-off is that some have "jet engine" cooling fans to keep things up there cool. We'll have to see if the controller's higher temp. affects longevity.

Love it!

I got this two months ago during my kitchen renovation. I did a lot of research as to why I should need an induction cooktop. I was still somewhat divided since I had to replace most of my cookware but I went ahead and got it. I truly love cooking on this. It is so responsive and clean and fast to heat up. I can put water on to boil, turn around and get something out of my refrigerator to cook, and when I look back, there are already bubbles on the bottom of the pan. The only thing I haven't been impressed with is the power boil button...that doesn't seem to make a big difference. The oven is also wonderful. I love the temperature probe when cooking roasts and my pumpkin bread was cooked very evenly.

Awful Oven/Great Cooktop
on November 17, 2015

Cooktop is great, but oven is awful! Convection fan is broken. Slow to preheat, and just plain slow to cook. Lack of features in the oven (my old ge range had convection roast & I assumed that this one would have it as well. My bad! It doesn't) I've actually considered getting rid of this already...just because of the oven.

I really like the number of burners and the ease of cleaning. It also cooks more quickly than my last range.

My Research Paid Off
on December 2, 2015

I was planning my kitchen counter top remodel and knew I needed to replace the old coil element drop in range. I began to research electric ranges and started hearing/reading about the induction ranges. I settled on a coupe of induction ranges and in the end chose the GE Profile induction. I was a bit apprehensive about it at first going from a simple electric coil range to a digital GE induction range. From the very first finger tip operation of my new GE nduction range a month ago to now, the learning curve was nearly non-existent. I just want to keep cooking something on it or in it I enjoy it so much. In my research, reading about how quick boiling water was going to be, you won't believe it until you see it....and you can put your bare finger on the the cooktop next to the pan of boiling water and it's not hot! In the beginning, going from the old coil range to the GE induction, it looks a bit intimidating. Once you touch the control pad the first time, it quickly becomes easy to use. I'm proud of my research directing me to the GE Profile induction range. I made the right decision for my kitchen addition.
