GE Profile induction Range

We've had the GE Profile Induction range over three months now and couldn't be happier with the purchase. You must use induction ready cookware with stovetop.
We got the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro set and it works great with this range. When cooking on the top, foods heat very quickly and then can be kept at the level you like
by adjusting the touchpad. So much faster and better than our old GE electric.
In addition the stove top stays cool and cleanup is a breeze. No baked-on goods.
My wife LOVES the warming drawer. It works fantastic and eliminates microwaving
foods to reheat.
All in all we love this range and since my wife really wanted a gas range before gettign this, the fact that this range makes her happy is terrific. It's more expensive than
other electrics but WELL worth the price. !

Induction cooking is the best!

We love induction cooking! The immediate response and precise temperature control is similar to gas. We were amazed at how quickly a 6 qt pot of water came to a boil. Spills just wipe up and do not bake on like they did on my smoothtop. The oven is large enough for 4 loaves of bread and they bake evenly. I haven't tried the convection option or the temperature probe, so I can't rate them. The warming drawer gets rather warm without turning it on whenever you use the oven. I was pleased to learn the warming drawer is removable making it easy to access anything that rolls under the range. I love the all glass control panel because the settings won't blister as it ages. I wish you could add to the timer. Instead you have to cancel the time and then reset it. The unit came with a universal manual that did not distinguish between induction and smoothtops and there were no instructions on convection cooking. The top back of the unit is rounded making it difficult for a DIY installation to look professional. Overall, we are very, very happy with our purchase.

Design Flaw

Love the stove but I'm unhappy with how the stove top fits with my granite count tops. The control pannel and back vent should be the same width as the glass cook top - that would give the stove a more "built-in" look. there's a 1/2" inch gap on either side of my control pannel and the granite.

Cooks great

So far everything is cooking well. I had a service call for denting at delivery which was fixed promptly. I read that the induction top might have loud noises as it works but mine hums along quietly!
I have many features which I have not tried yet so cannot comment on them. I keep the lock on at all times I am not cooking because it turns on easily with touch.

We bought this appliance in December 2014 and are really impressed with all the features, Cooktop and oven. Super fat heating, excellent temperature control and very easy to use (we like the controls that light up the next button that should be activated).

Although I have only had my new stove only a short time, I absolutely love it! Everything we have cooked has turned out perfectly! It heats faster than the microwave!

Almost perfect

I love almost everything about this range. Two problems I have with it are as follows: Overtime I reach over the range to stir something on the back burners of the stove my body turns on another burner or then oven controls. The controls would be better place on the side of the unit. Also, the connection for the probe is too close to the oven door. The first time I used the probe I didn't realize it was touching the inside of the oven door. It melted the probe and I had to buy another one. Either change the position of the connection or make the probe longer.

I love the induction cooktop and the way it turns off immediately when you turn off the burner. The steam clean feature is great, when you just want to clean a few spills.
