Love this stove!

After a lot of deliberation and a long time without a stove at all, I bought the induction slide in stove with warming oven and I totally love it. Cooktop is amazing, and the oven made the best prime rib I've ever eaten. Still learning convection, but the induction cooktop is such a wonderful alternative to gas. Does not heat the house up in summer and the kitchen stays cool no matter what's on the burners. Also a great looking appliance. Love the dark gray glass and stainless trim. Locking feature on the touch pad is a must have.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This has been a love-hate relationship with this range. We bought it to replace the GE Profile range we had for 15 years. The induction mode of burners was perfect for our needs, not wanting hot burners after use for safety reasons. We love the incredibly fast heating and cooling down.
However, the range has been a nightmare from the beginning. The oven would turn off while cooking or preheating with no one around to touch any buttons. We had the control panels replaced at least twice. Burners started turning off on their own. Control panel replacements never fixed any of this. We finally resorted to putting a cork piece over the OFF/CANCEL button for the oven, just to make sure no one could brush by it and turn it off, which we had witnessed happen. Still that wasn't enough. We decided to live with that quirk because we liked the features of the oven so much.
Until the burners started coming ON by themselves with the LOCK CONTROLS set to ON with nothing sitting on the burner! We would double-check it just to make sure. Today, my wife and I were in the kitchen, a couple feet from the oven, and I said "Why is that H on in the control panel?" We looked and it was the warming area on high. We touched it and it was hot! We checked the Lock button and it was set ON-locked. There was nothing sitting on the warming area either. This seems impossible, but this kind of thing has happened several times over the past several months.
If object or papers had been sitting on the cooktop when the warming area came on, maybe overnight, when we wouldn't be able to see it, or possibly started a fire, or at least damaged something.
That's the last straw. This thing needs to be destroyed, not donated or in any position where someone might try to use it. It's dangerous. We're replacing it after only 3 years.

We moved and our new place does not allow gas appliances so we went with the induction. Love this cook-top & oven- The induction cook-top heats so fast & I like it better than my gas one.We use a cast iron pan to cooks steak & it browns them & cooks them perfectly . I love the oven- particularly the slide out shelf. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new range.

The convection feature works great on pies. I love that it has a temperature probe that alerts my phone and my watch when the roast is done. Each range has its own unique password so I don't worry about internet security on this WiFi connected appliance. The cooktop is easy to clean. The touchscreen controls are very easy to use. It goes up to 550 degrees which is handy for browning roasts or for pizzas. Note that the induction burners will not work on aluminum pans but that was not an issue for me. It is well worth the money.

Glass oven door impossible to clean!
on August 29, 2022

If you don’t mind having a dirty oven door, then maybe it won’t bother you. First of all, the only way to clean between the panes of glass inside the door is to remove the door. It is fairly easy to remove but VERY difficult to put back. We had to call a technician to do it. Once you get the door off, according to the GE website, the only way to clean the glass is to wrap a damp towel with cleaning product on it around a yard stick and slide it in between the (3) panes of glass and hope it works. Baked-on oil/grease doesn’t come off all that easily so good luck with that, and then trying to get the door back on. (We had a spillage issue a while back where some oily liquid spilled in the oven while the door was open and some of it got inside the oven door.) We’re now stuck with a dirty oven door that is hard to see through, not to mention it just looks bad. It hasn’t started to smell bad, but I fear it might at some point. WHY would you design an oven door with an opening at the bottom where dirt and grease can easily get it, and then make it almost impossible to clean?? In fairness, the oven works fine and I really like GE products, but I HATE this oven door! Seriously, I would not have purchased this appliance it I had known.

Hello - We appreciate you taking the time to write a review, and we love your loyalty to GE Appliances. We're pleased you're enjoying this range's performance. However, we're sorry to hear some oily liquid spilled inside the oven door, and it was hard for you to put the oven door back on after cleaning. We're glad a technician could help you replace the door. But we understand how frustrating that must have been, and we apologize for that matter.
We strive to provide the best and easiest solution when cleaning in between the oven door. That said, we genuinely value your feedback and will be sure to share your review with our design team for future improvements.
For future reference, you may view page 25 of your owner's manual for the best tips to replace the oven door here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-80695-2.pdf&_ga=2.226205917.618562806.1662470051-1066202793.1647273406.
We hope you enjoy this beautiful range for many years. We're always here if you need anything. Have an amazing day. -Shayla@GEA
