Boils water in 3 mins!! It was complicated to install in an already finished kitchen but well worth it. My husband is in heaven!

Very impressive range

It was a birthday gift from my husband. I was at first timid to use it because it was so impressive. The features, craftsmanship, and quality material are outstanding! After just a few days it turns out to be very simple to use, and I am now in love once again.

Induction is a dream!

I've used this range for 4 months now (since July 2015). The induction cooktop is truly as responsive as gas and more accurate than radiant electric elements. We are using lower temperatures in our skillets for searing and frying (paper towels directly on the cooktop catch the grease spatter), and sauteing. Amazing consistent heat! I can safely render chicken and beef fat for the dogs at such a low temperature (levels 1.5 - 2.5) to add to their dry kibble. Pots of soup, chili, and marinara sauces can simmer low and slow without burning the pan bottom. I NEVER want to use a standard electric cooktop again! The convection oven works beautifully and I enjoy the extension shelf very much. Sadly, I can't comment on the warming drawer since I haven't used it yet. yet.

Induction Rocks!

My first time cooking on an induction range and I am officially converted. WOW! When it boiled a pot of water for cooking noodles in a minute and maintained simmer with no issues. Easy clean. And the oven works well too. The GE Profile Series induction range with convection over is a winner.

I replaced an old electric glass top range with this induction model. I have only used it for a week so I can't attest to its longevity but so far I love it. It boils so quickly and the oven is nice and big. Just so you know, the burners still get quite warm. Not enough to really burn you but def. warm. It certainly responds faster than gas and is much easier to clean. So far, I am happy!

oven controls too complex

I bought my GE slide-in electric convection oven last week. The oven controls on the front panel are confusing and do not align with the overly-brief directions given in the owner's manual. GEapplicances.com website is useless in terms of learning how to operate your oven. The video link on this website for the oven controls tells you how easy the front control panel is to operate and clean -- and that's all.
I have tried many ways to operate the oven, and have not had success in using the 'set timer' controls. This should be a simple task, yet it is not intuitive in any way. I've checked out a few youtube reviews on this oven, and the two I've seen have stated similar opinions.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
