Loving it!

We bought thus range as part of a full kitchen remodel job. We were intrigued by the induction aspect, a first for us. So far, after doing some trial and error learning (had gas before) we are getting the hang of it. Can confirm fast boiling and even cooking on the cook top!! Not enough oven experience yet to comment, but do far so good. We'll see how Thanksgiving goes!!

A very clean cooking machine, no more smelly gas and baked on dirty cook tops. The control is amazing and consistent! No more guessing where the right temp is and the heat is in the pan while the glass top stays cool and clean, it's a winner

Stopped working after two weeks

Was working great for two weeks and then just stopped working. Tried to turn on the oven and it just shut off after a few seconds. Now the stove top also shuts off immediately on its own. We reset the breaker box and that didn't correct the problem either. Called the GE number 5 minutes before the stated close time and no one answered. Dealer also didn't have anyone who could help us.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

As responsive as a gas stove!!

I hated my electric, glass-top stove but I don't have access to gas. I read that inductive stoves respond much the same as gas. It's true. I am so very pleased with the performance of this inductive, glass-top slide-in range. It boils water extremely fast (even large pots), yet has very low temperatures also. All the burners respond well. I cannot say enough good things about this stove. It's expensive, but worth it.

Wonderful induction range

After doing some research on induction cooking I purchased this range and am beyond thrilled with it. Hard to believe induction cooking isn't the only cooking method for all stove tops, especially for those of us who live in warmer climates and don't enjoy cooking in warmer months because of the excess heat of conventional electric or gas tops. I truly LOVE this range. Note that the oven is regular electric, for those who might be wondering (I didn't know before my research!)
This is a heavy, high-quality appliance. I was lucky and found a scratch & dent model for a fraction of the original retail price. The damaged parts are not visible when installed.
Most of my pots and pans were already induction-friendly so I didn't have to spend much on new ones - just needed to add a couple of sauce pans. Additionally, my cast iron skillet is getting lots of use now - induction is perfect for it.
It takes a little while to get used to the nuances, but I can't imagine cooking any other way again. The heat consistency is the BEST. I didn't use my cast iron much on my prior electric glass top because the heat just wasn't consistent enough and the pan would end up being too hot to handle. Now I cook all meats with it and it's almost as good as grilling.
The oven has all the bells and whistles you could ask for, convection, temperature probe, self-cleaning options, the works. It does not have a separate pre-heat option on the control panel, which confused me at first, but as soon as you turn it on it tells you it's pre-heating on the display, so it's 'built-in'. It heats quickly and maintains an even temperature. There are also two broil options, high and low. The interior of the oven is very nice and the bottom rack has a sliding option which makes accessing items on that rack much easier.
Again, I LOVE this range, and am hoping GE still makes something similar since this model was discontinued.

Induction rules!

Had planned to replace our glass top electric cooktop with gas but then a salesman at the appliance store showed us a demo of induction. My husband was immediately sold and after doing a little more research, so was I. We have had it for about one month and I love everything about it. It's so fast - both to heat up and cool down. You have to be ready to cook when you turn on the burner! It has taken me a little while to get used to how fast it responds to changing the temperature. Love that the cleanup is so easy, no more scrubbing off cooked on food! The oven is very large and works great. Also happy to finally have a warming drawer. Beautiful!

This range is incredible!

We installed this range about 3 weeks ago, and I am so happy with the appearance and performance. I love that this range is all metal and glass; no plastic controls! The induction cooktop is incredible. The controls are intuitive and simple to use. Water boils much quickly on this cooktop, compared to a regular electric radiant cooktop. The cooktop is super easy to keep clean. I love having the very fine and responsive temperature control. It heats very evenly; I am able to make the most perfect pancakes! I've used the oven several times too, and it meets with my approval. Love, love, love this range.
