Works just like expected. Cooks quickly. Easy to control. Only negative is that it's hard to clean the plastic control panel so it doesn't look smeared.

Fast temperature control

The induction heating on the range gives very responsive heating control (fast heat, near instant lower heat) but did require replacing nearly half of my pots (requires magnetic steel bottom). It is faster than gas and just as responsive (and we did not have natural gas available). The new unit had a problem with the oven door locking mechanism (could not unlock door) but this was fixed in home under warranty and is now perfect.

GE Slide in Induction Range

Looks and works great! We were going to replumb gas in the kitchen, but did some online research on induction cooktops. Glad we did, as this unit performs wonderfully. My wife and I are foodies, so a good cooktop and oven were key. And the fact that the warming drawer is part of this unit, made the decision to buy it a no-brainer! In our last home, we installed a separate warming drawer, but since we down-sized our home (and kitchen!), this all-in-1 slide in range was just the right choice!

FUN

I HAVE BEEN USING MY NEW SLIDE IN INDUCTION COOKTOP AND RANGE FOR 6 MONTHS, AND EVERY EXPERINCE HAS BEEN A LEARNING EXPERIENCE, FUN AND FUNNY. I AM USED TO GAS COOKTOPS, WHICH RESPOND QUICKLY, BUT MY INDUCTION COOKTOP SEEMS TO REACT AT LIGHTNING SPEED. I HAVE MADE SOME MISTAKES, AND SO HAS MY HUSBAND [SPAGHETTI SAUCE ALL OVER]; WE LAUGH, LEARN AND KEEP ON COOKING. WE ARE ENJOYING THE WARMING DRAWER TOO.

Induction cooking is great
on October 14, 2014

Very pleased overall with a couple minor nitpicks. 1. Wish the temperature of the pan was displayed on the burners. The number displayed for the power level can mean very different heat depending on which of the 3 size burners are being used and even different pans. We have used it for 3 months and still are figuring out the setting needed sometimes. 2. The control lock feature is great, but it would be nice if the timer could be used even when the controls are locked. It should only lock the things that are hazardous when accidentally activated.

INDUCTION IS THE FUTURE
on October 14, 2014

I realize that induction stove tops have been available in Europe for many years but I had never heard of the technology until I needed to be looking for a new stove. I was replacing an electric stove/oven and because of our location, gas was not an option. When I first heard about induction, I kept wondering, why hasn't this been a thing here? Maybe it's not as great as the hype. So I did the research, saw only great reviews and thought let's try this. It is revolutionary! I now have to show everybody who comes over to the house how it works. I love it! It does take a bit of getting used to. I burned a few things in the beginning because I didn't recognize how quickly it heated the pan. It's only three months old, still a new stove with plenty of time for things to go wrong but as of this writing, the stove is pleasing to look at and seems to be well built.
