Really enjoy the gas stove and oven. Like rack with slides in oven. Makes it easy to take things in and out of oven.

Different size pans apparently should have different size burners. We noticed right away how good this stove works in that way. The power burner is fantastic!

GE Profile Gas Stove

Had this range for about a month. It looks like a professional grade range. Better yet if performs like a professional grade range. The five burners are all unique. Front left burner has three ranges which quickly bring a pot of water to a boil. The left rear is 5000 btu's so you can simmer at a very low temperature. The center burner is 10,000 btu's and oval so a roasting pan can easily fit. Haven't use the griddle yet but think it will function very well. The front right burner a great size, big enough for a large pot or dutch oven or a small frying pan and the right rear burner is about 7000 btu's so it is very functional too. The whole top has grates across it so you can slide a pot or pan across without worrying about spilling. The deep recess below the grates help contain any mess from cooking and has been pretty easy to keep clean. The oven has three shelves with one being a easy slide out. The interior of the oven stays pretty clean while roasting. I haven't tried the convection bake/roast feature yet but will soon. Overall this is a really nice looking range, but best of all a very nice functioning range.

I have had this product 3 months and last night when my wife was cooking dinner and an alarm starting sounding. The control panel froze and the only way we could stop the alarm was to unplug the oven. The screen was showing a code of F76 which after reading other reviews indicates that we need a new control panel. Seriously!!??

love the cooktop but oven not so much

I have mixed feelings about this GE Profile range. The gas cooktop is really nice. The power burner heats/boils water really fast, and the middle burner for a griddle is nice to have. The over however, is not as great as I was expecting it to be. Preheating takes a long time. For some reason, changing the function or temperature after the initial selection doesn't work.

Touch pad and knobs are very sensitive
on February 17, 2016

I've been cooking with the stove for a couple of weeks. Over all it's been nice to work with, but I will say the touch pad is very sensitive, I always have it 'locked'. I'll unlock it to set the oven/timer, then I have to lock it again because it if I touch it by accident I could cancel the oven settings etc. My range, sink and favorite work space are all very close together in one corner of the kitchen. I find that I also have to be careful when working so that I don't hit one of the knobs because I've turned on one of the burners unintentionally. This also happened with my husband once. There's is no way to 'lock' the knobs. We don't have kids in the house, but I would think this would be a real concern, because how easily they can be turned on. I've used the oven a few times and it seems to heat evenly on the regular oven setting. Someone mentioned that the oven was slow to preheat. I just timed my oven, took 10 minutes to preheat to 350F which is what I've always allowed for, I think that's reasonable. The knobs are easily removed for cleaning around them and the range top is also easy to clean.
