DO NOT BUY!!

TERRIBLE PRODUCT!!. I have had to replce the control panel twice in less than 4 years, at a cost of over $600. If you do your research you will find this is not an isolated case.

This is a joke... I bought a house with this range that was all new appliances and the control panel shorted out within a year of its owning the house. I happen to be in the industry and ordered a board and replaced it... it worked great. And now another year later the board shorts out again! Clearly this is a recurring problem and needs to be FIXED! Do they have a buy 2 get one free pin boards somewhere because this is ridiculous. Horrible experience and compounded that it happened on THANKSGIVING!

Very competent stove

So far (3 months in), this has performed very well. Stovetop is versatile because of different size burners. Very low heat/simmer is easy to set, because 'low' is at the very end of the knob range. Simply turn the knob to the end of its range and the burner is at its lowest output without the risk of it blowing out. Edge-to-edge grates make it easy to move pots to different locations, whether to different burners or off heat altogether. The oven performs well for baking and roasting. Controls are intuitive and easy to use, although the control panel sticks out too far, in the front. Beware: the oven vent is exposed, at the back of the stove top. It gets very hot. One unwary user got a burn inadvertently touching it while move pots around the stove top. Love the warming drawer.

This is my first 'gas' range. I have always cooked on electric ranges. This takes a little getting used to but this range is very user friendly. I love all the features of my range.

After 40 years of electric cooking finally switched to gas. Takes some time to learn how to put on stove (flat panel, no knobs). Getting there. Overall, beautiful stove.

Problem with the start button!!!!!

I bought this about one month ago. The start button did not light up, I contacted the place where purchased they set up a service call with GE. It could not be repaired and needed a part, which was on back order after multiple contacts they agreed to replace the oven. The new one came and had the same problem start button not lighting and an added bonus of a big scratch!!!! I am so disappointed especially since we purchased a whole suite of new GE appliances!!!!!

The GE Profile Series oven is exactly what I was looking for in our new kitchen ... looks great and the nuances such as the 5th burner, warming oven, the power burner and small & large burner features are all items that have come in handy.
