Wonderful Range!

I have had this for over 6 months and I absolutely love it! It actually has more features than I have even used so far! The powerboil is so quick. I love the grill for sandwiches and pancakes, but have not used the other side to grill meats. It is extremely heavy duty and yet is easy to clean. I "re-season" it each time I wash it and it is still like new. I love the heavy duty grates. The oven bakes cookies and cakes perfectly. Meats and casseroles and pies cook perfectly, also. Even baking without even using the convection feature. Others complained about the worry that it is easy to turn on the bake button when cleaning the face, but it goes off automatically if you do not add the temperature and touch the start button. It is not a worry at all for me. I had a competitor's high line range before, and this is far superior. I will never purchase anything but GE from now on! I purchased a GE microwave to go with the range and they bother form beautifully! I love my purchases. Refrigerator is the next to go and will be looking at GE again.

Great when it works!

Bought this oven 4 months ago and have had 3 episodes when a warning light and code appear on the display which requires the electrical connection to be turned off and on. The clock display cannot be reset and that means the oven will not work. First time a second reset worked; second time it took 30 hours for the reset to work and this morning it has just occurred again. We now have a service call arranged in 3 days which means I cannot use the oven.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features, easy to use, works well

The cook top does everything you could ask. We have a large family, and host Christmas for 50 people. This was a welcome addition. Powerful burners, yet they can scale back to just a slow simmer. Plenty of room, especially with the slide in model. Easy to clean, easy to dissasemble the grate, burners in case "too many cooks" in the kitchen get a little sloppy with the cooking. Oven is perfect. Roomy, cooks to perfect temperature, and warming drawer is pretty cool too. Self clean option is a plus. Meat Probe is a MUST HAVE to insure that always cooked to perfection roast, no matter what the size, shape or original starting temperature of the roast. Very happy with this !!

This is our first gas stove in decades. Not only is our cooking times improved dramatically, the foods we prepare taste better. It's a joy to cook again.
