Nice looking-burners/oven/warming oven work well.

Cooktop needs light to show when burners are on. It's too easy to forget especially when simmering. Cook panel buttons always come on when cleaning - a nuisance, unless you use the lock feature. Cooking griddle is difficult to clean so I rarely use it.

This is the best stove I have ever had and I have owned other "Semi-Pro" lines that cost much more and delivered much less! The Slide-In Model looks so beautiful in the kitchen; all the look of a built in. We love to cook in this house so it has been getting a workout since day one and nothing has disappointed. Convection cooking was a must and the auto conversion is great feature. Cooking in all modes of convection produces great results. The oven size and configurations are great. The griddle in the middle of the stove top is a wonderful addition. The cast iron griddle is a nice addition, but was perplexed by no broiler pan (no issue as I had one). I find the stove top and controls easy to use and clean. The flame precision is great and the dual power burner handles all size of pots or pans. Boiling temp. on this burner is quick and easy to maintain. The Low BTU burner is just as precise. Melted chocolate with little fuss or constant care. We have owned Profile products over the years, but this is the first Stove from the line and we are very pleased with the look, the features, and the results we get from using our new stove. Thanks GE.

Steer clear of GE Profile appliances

We bought 4 Profile appliances for our new kitchen. What a sad disappointment. With this slide in range, you cannot switch from bake to broil (to finish browning). The Convection oven is worthless. Very unhappy.

Gimmicks not improvements!

I purchased this range from a reputable dealer in August 2016 and have been cooking on it since then. In my opinion the gas range got about as good as it can get around 1990. The new so-called improvements don't improve -- they detract. A good example is high heat burner on this model. It does indeed boil water faster but it is difficult to use for other cooking. It burns stuff too easily, there is no appropriate setting to saute food in a large pan (it is the only really large burner). The center low simmer burner does not work as well as the old-fashioned simmer burner on the back of my old gas stove. The oven rack that slides out is very difficult to remove - you can't if the oven is even a little warm. So you can't wipe up spills on the bottom of the oven easily -- it's a big project. I finally took out that rack and just use the 2 old fashioned racks. The touchpad control is so sensitive we all keep turning things on and off without realizing it -- almost ruined my Thanksgiving turkey until I noticed the oven had somehow been turned off. I'd much rather have knobs and buttons. The caste iron top racks are very heavy. So if you want to put the griddle on the center burner, you have a lot of lifting to do -- and where to store that big griddle is a real issue. I've reverted to using my old square burner top griddle since it is easier to use and I can put a lid over the grilled food and let it rest a bit. Can't do that with the center griddle -- no lids would fits that. All in all I would not recommend this. I would have preferred a cheap stand alone model -- they have not been "improved" but I had to have a slide-in in my kitchen.

Unreliable

Repeated F76 error messages, with the control panel blacking out. Rebooting it helped sometimes, but we had to have the control panel replaced twice in less than a year. Horrible reliability for an appliance that is usually trouble-free - particularly one at this price point.

Love it!

I've had this for 3 months now and absolutely love this range! The top is incredibly easy to clean. I know in some reviews I'd read people had a problem with the touch screen on top but I have found if I don't push so hard and give it a second to register the touch of my finger it works just fine. It was a minor adjustment on how to push the right way. I'd definitely buy this again and recommend to family and friends.
