Upgraded from builder's grade because I had to have "dual fuel".
Greatest design deficiency is the "rack on rollers"; roasting pan with 14-lb rib roast jettisoned itself onto floor. I would think this wasn't what GE had in mind when they designed it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like cooking on a gas range.

Cooking on a gas range gives you more heating options than cooking on an electric
range top. The unit heats faster and the pot or pan can stay on the burner after the
heat is turned off without burning the food. I like having 3 pull-out racks in the oven.

We needed an oven that was electric for my baking and gas for my cooking. This was the perfect choice. It was affordable and easy to install ourselves. We have been using it for several months now and the power boil feature is my favorite. I can boil a stockpot full of water in half the time. The oven is true to temp and the warming drawer is amazing for rising breads.

I bought the range and I like all the features of the stove, especially the oven's roller rack. However, the huge cast iron griddle is heavy and to apply oil to it after use is an inconvenience for me. Overall, happy with purchase.

Just what we wanted

Heats evenly and bakes accurately. Our last stove's small burners would barely heat up enough to melt butter. This one is much easier to control the heat output, from low to very high. We were thinking of getting a double oven, but I'm glad we won't have to worry about the size of a turkey with this one! : )
