Design issues but wonderful unit

I love the cook top, and the oven heats very evenly, but the vent at the back of the oven makes this difficult to install with a granite countertop. An extra piece of granite needed to be fitted, and now the stove sticks out further than the cabinets and dishwasher. Just a design flaw. It should not be curved, and it should not take up that much space at the back of the unit.

I love this range!

I bought this range 4 mos ago after researching and comparing ranges for over a year. I knew I didn't want a range with the controls on an ugly backsplash and I wanted better temperature control for the burners than electric (gas was not an option for me). It was expensive, but I absolutely love everything about it: the precise control of burners with immediate response, it's easy to clean (I don't understand what others have complained about), the oven and warming drawer work great, and it is beautiful! Head and shoulders above my old electric range and also better than any gas range I have ever used. Only complaint is that the timer on the range is just for the oven.

It is beautiful. I purchased this stove when I couldn't have gas. It heats up quickly. However, given the choices of 1-9, I can only most of the time cook between 2 and 4 as it is so hot. The top is very hard for me to keep clean and I rarely drip anything on the stove while cooking. The oven seems to be perfect. Wish it had 2 of the easy-slide racks. The bottom warming drawer is not very tall, though I understand why.

Great style and function

I bought this slide in about 2 months ago to replace a glass top range. Love this new stove. Heat elements are more consistent, clean up is so much easier which was a big interest when looking for a new model.

Works well, but glass top had marks

After a few weeks, we noticed that the glass top above the burners we use most often had marks on it. I thought it may be defective so GE came out to inspect it. They replaced the glass top. Just a few weeks later, we noticed the same thing happening. I'm guessing this is just considered to be normal. There are no scratches and it's not dirt or grease, just a discoloration.

My new stove

I have had my new stove for about 3 weeks. So far it has been great. The oven is fantastic. I have never been able to bake a pound cake and I have baked 2 with 100% success. I read all the reviews on various makes and I was a little nervous that I would not like some of the features on this model; however I have not had any issues. The front controls are not a problem. They are not so sensitive that they easily turn on when leaning over the stove. The top cleans very well. I had the first smooth top stove to come out so I am familiar with care and cleaning. FYI the best way to keep the top clean is to clean after each use and use a clean wash cloth with dawn after initial cleaning then wipe dry with clean towel and it will stay looking like new-no greasy top.

Amazing oven!

I love everything about this oven - great options, fast preheating and cooking, probe is easy to use and works for perfectly cooked meat every time!! The stovetop overhand keeps food from falling down between the cracks. Great purchase and highly recommended!!

Fantastic...So Far

I've had this unit for about 8 weeks. It is everything and more than the Frigidaire Proffessional Series it replaced. Highly recommend over any other foreign or domestic model. It is a full 30" wide... we had to sand down the cabinet faces in order for it to fit.
