The 21st Century Has Finally Arrived At Our House.

At first we were hesitant about all the digital features. Now however, we don't know how we lived without them. My only concern is that apparently this stove cannot be adjusted below 36 inches. The height of our cabinets plus counter-top is 35.75 inches, so it does not sit flush with the counter-top. Not a big deal really.

Lovely Response to heating up

Only issue is with the lock feature. Can't use the timer without unlocking which means it is subject to accidental heating up if the timer is used for a prep need

Roll-Out Shelf Great; Poor Vent Design
on September 6, 2017

Just purchased this and had installed two days ago. Have not used the stove top yet, but baked cookies with good results. We purchased this over the cheaper model because of the roll-out shelf on ball bearings, and because the control panel in front is placed in glass rather than the hard clear plastic on the cheaper model. Our biggest complaint concerns the fit of the oven due to the odd construction of the vent at the back of the range top. For some reason, it is narrower than the glass cooktop, leaving a gap in the standard countertop cutout. I will attach pictures to demonstrate. We have ordered two pieces of a stainless steel finished product in the hopes that we can at least partially cover the gap. But because of the back curvature in the design of the vent, you can't fit a trim piece behind it to completely cover the gap (see pics). Just poorly designed. It's really too bad, because it is a great slide-in range in all other respects.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks nice

I bought this a month ago and liked a lot of the features but there are some annoying things, too. Pro. 1. I like the fact it has 3 racks and I am happy with the capacity 2. I am able to clean the glass top with class top stove cleaner. 3. The stove is able to boil water pretty fast
Con. 1. The placement of the control is not very good. If I lean over to stir something on the burner, it will turn off/on something. I think the oven gets turned off by accident often while I am cooking on the stove top.
2. I am unable to use the oven when the control pad locked is on. If I lock the control pad, it shuts everything off (including the oven). It will be nice if I can have the oven on while the stove control are off. My old range, I was able to use the stove top to shape my bread or put custard in the custard bowls while the oven is pre-heating.
3. I just did my first cleaning (I have this range for one month now) and some of the paint inside the oven and oven door are peeling. I am waiting for GE support to call me back on this.

Wonderful New Addition

Bought 8mo ago & wanted to wait to review until used awhile. Took some time getting used to digital controls. The warming space is super handy and the warming tray is a lifesaver when preparing big meals like Thanksgiving. The convection feature makes cooking multiple items a dream - no more moving items around the oven, they all cook even! The cooktop has so many different size settings, there isn't one pot or griddle that doesn't fit! Haven't used the Clean feature yet but did try the Steam Clean, it's a joke - made a big greasy mess that was a hassle to clean up. Saw some other reviews that the heat from the oven blows in your face from back blower??? I'm only 5' tall so had some concern but that has never been a problem and I use my oven 3-4X/wk. We installed a granite backsplash so appreciate the low profile. Get lots of compliments on the way it looks in our kitchen.

Be Careful of the Language
on February 16, 2017

The range is good but the description language is misleading. It will NOT be an exact fit when a slide in is replacing a slide in! GE will only Guarantee the Fit if the new slide in is replacing a FREE Standing old range! Seems illogical doesn't it but it is true! We replaced a GE Profile 11 year old with a new GE Profile both slide - in's. The new range stainless steel oven vent in the back is not as long as the glass top therefore there is a 1/4 inch gap on the side edge of the granite. Not a CUSTOM GUARANTEE FIT!

Have been keeping an eye on this since before it was even released. Have had it for only a couple of weeks but this is a beautiful range in all aspects. It is very well made. (In the USA) It preheats very quick, cooks evenly. The cook top works very well and the power boil element get the teapot whistling in no time. My wife LOVES the range. Only time will tell reliability...

EXCELLANTCONVECTION COOKING

We purchased this range as a package of three new appliances and it convection oven has been wonderful. It has taken a little getting used to but does excellent baking breads and pastries. The only negative is installing there was no way to adjust rear feet after sliding in place.
