Not so grate

Great oven. Stove takes forever, 20 minutes, to boil water! Seems like the grates are far from the flame.

Dual Fuel Forever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I make our bread each week, now I have "Proof mode!" What a great featue to build into a range. We make pizza from scratch...now we have "Pizza mode." The "multy rack" convection feature is fabulous for baking three pans of cookies all at one time, or four muffin tins on 2 racks. Nothing cooks like a gas burner and this stove throws plenty of heat. I LOVE this range.

Quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great feel of quality from the moment you touch the heavy but smooth motion burner control knobs. Fits like a glove in free range cabinet opening and lip over the counter top sealed the deal for me. No more food falling through the crack. I was going to buy a cook top and built in oven but after getting this range, the money I saved is going for a boat. Thank you engineers at Bosch.

Good features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dual fuel stove works as described. The burners have enough BTUs to get the job done. I like baking with electricity much more than gas so I appreciate the electric oven. I especially like having the warming drawer and the easy foot-touch open/close; i expect to use it often.
The oven, however, seems a little slow to come to temperature, even using the quick pre-heat feature. The oven temperature is totally accurate and heat is very even and consistent. Also, the steel on this stove seems harder to get clean and looking nice. Not sure why. I have had several other stainless appliances and they are easier to get looking streak-free with a little lustre. I am a fan of Bosch appliances and I expect this stove to hold up and perform as well as others. I have been using about four months.

Why Did I Wait So Long?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a child, I learned to cook with gas and for more than 50 years, I've remembered what an immediate response and fantastic results I got using gas. As a teen and adult, I used an electric oven and loved the even baking from that. We just remodeled the kitchen and decided it was time to treat ourselves to a dual fuel (gas top, electric oven) and get the best of both worlds. We couldn't be happier. All the convenience of a gas range (with 5 burners) and perfect baking (convection or traditional) in an electric oven. Only regret: Wish we'd done it sooner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this after much research - wanted dual fuel and a professional look and found the 800 to meet all of our needs. Also - there are are only a few stoves on the market that have “lip” that overlaps the counter - looks built in and stays cleaner too. The design is simple and sleek. I was not sure how I was going to like the stainless stove top for cleaning - but I can tell you that it is so easy! 5 gas burners and electric convection - it’s perfect.
