Somewhat Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been using for over 6 months now so I feel like I can honestly review. GAS COOKTOP: Pro - beautiful, easy to clean/keep clean. Con - burner grates sit entirely too high from burner for efficient heating/cooking, knobs only decrease flame if turned to low first and then back up to desired level. OVEN: Very inconsistent heating when baking. (I will be purchasing an oven thermometer to check temps before making any adjustments or calling for service.) I am an avid baker and have not been able to get cookies to bake consistently from one pan to the next using identical pans and bake times. Very frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Keeps on clicking instead of ticking

We bought this range and stored it in our garage until our new home was finished being built. 9 months later when the house was finished we installed the range but 3 months after using it the igniters started clicking all the time. now we have to turn off the power to the range when not in use. we also bought the bosch drawer microwave and we are keeping our fingers crossed it doesn't break down as we bought it the same time as the range

Many problems as delivered but under warranty

Fortunately all of the problems that it has as delivered did not prevent me from using the basic functions of the gas burners and the electric over. But it does not inspire much confidence in the quality control. So far, to correct the problems we detected at delivery and installation, they have replaced several of the electronics boards including the one behind the display. They are about to replace the warming drawer because this one is crooked. But since I have been able to continue to use it I can review the design and features.
Because of deficiencies in my previous dual fuel range, a Dacor, it was important for me to have a burner that would simmer. This range has two small burners that are excellent for simmering. Regarding the other burners, I am finding that the right front burner, the position I am used to using for most cooking, works fine if the pan is big enough. But compared to my Dacor burner I find I cannot use certain pots on it because of the physical size; the flames lick up the sides of the pot. So if you want high heat on a small pot you don't have a good option. Otherwise the burner design is fine.
As others have noted, keeping the stainless top clean - the area around the burners - is a full time job and it is easy to scratch it.
The oven and broiler have done everything I have asked them to do so far. The broiler is quick and hot. The oven has done a good job baking several loaves of bread at the same time.
I love the way the oven light comes on when the door is opened. I am surprised to find that I love the warming oven - great for warming the dinner plates.
I don't understand why the stove is made to stick out in front of the counter. Is that to make it seem like some kind of pro stove? I don't get the point, either functionally or aesthetically.
Since every range reviewed on the internet has flaws and imperfections and vulnerabilities I really did not expect this one to be trouble-free. I just hope all of the problems are within the warranty period.

it's ok

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this range for about ten months, and it general it is good. I am a bit disappointed at how long it takes to boil water for pasta on even the most powerful burner (in the middle) however. If I had thought more before buying, I might have picked a range that had flames coming out of the center of the burner as well and not only from the sides of the burner, which seems to send a lot of heat up the sides of the pots. Also I am a little surprised at how far down the flames are from the bottom of the pans. This seems to be true of many ranges, and perhaps it is a good thing (I don't know the reason for it), but given the slow speed of boiling water, I eave my doubts.

Up and Down Feelings

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I like the appearance overall, I was disappointed by how easily the top got scratched. In addition, there are always rust-looking spots around the burners. I am a crazy clean person and wipe up spills immediately, for example, so how can there be rust? Besides that, there are always fingerprints everywhere: on the control panel and on the surfaces of the door and warming drawer. Every time I walk by it, I want to growl at it and tell the range to go away because it is never spotless. I must say that stainless steel is not my desired finish; I would have much preferred black. This part of my review is the "down" in the title.

Great Oven!!!

But the convection part of the oven is the revolutionary piece and it litterally backs evenly too. Great product Bosch...

Exactly what I needed!

The burner flames are great and the oven is terrific! I've only had the range for about a month but it works and is built so much better than my last two ovens. The only thing I wish was different was range part, I don't like the stainless steel top.
