great range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an accomplished home cook, and I love this range. It is easy to clean, thanks to the stainess steel top (no nasty black to try to keep dust off of), The oven is fabulous, even heating and has three racks. It has the best lights of any oven I have ever had, you can actually see what is cooking. I have never had a warming drawer, and didn't think I would use it, but I was so wrong. I use the drawer all of the time. If dinner is going to be delayed, no problem, just stick everything in the drawer and it is ready when we are. Possibly the best part is the flanges that sit on the counter along each side. No more messes going down the side of the range, no more using a toothpick or spatula to clean the gap between the range and counter. The burners have the right BTU's for my cooking, the center one is perfect for my pressure canner. The control knobs for the burners don't turn on when you brush past, unlike the range my mother has, and they are metal, so they won't break like my previous range. The proofing feature works great, as does the pizza settting. Multi-rack convection is a dream when you need to do alot of cookies or rolls at once.

Nice Stove but disappointed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my Bosch Dual Fuel range since February. It looks great and the oven works fine. My complaint is with the stove burners. There are 5 burners, two small ones in the back, a large one in the middle and front and a medium in the front. The ones in the front are good.
The two small ones in the back are useless. The flame is so low, it takes forever to boil water. It seems to work only as a simmer. I basically cook on two burners. Seems like a waste to me. I wish I knew this before I purchased the stove.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had many electrical or gas stoves in the past. But this Bosch dual fuel is totally awesome. Best I have ever had. I would highly recommend. Convection oven bakes so evenly, Imy husband has to check to be sure the cake wasn't bought at a store. Perfection convection.

Grates are too high above burner
on June 8, 2019

We actually really like this range but I can only give it one star because the grates are too high above the burners causing the flame to heat around the pan/pot moreso than the pan/pot itself. This makes cooking things on high heat almost impossible and boiling water takes forever, plus when cooking all of our handles get way too hot to grab without a pot holder because so much heat is escaping around the pot. It even heats our teapot handle (which is on top of the teapot) to the point that it is too hot to grab with your barehand (even though it is wrapped in rubber) because so much heat escapes and goes around the teapot to the top. I would love to see Bosch fix this by creating replacement grates that set the pans/pots lower to the flame. Right now they are a good 2-3 inches above the flame and when I look at other ranges they are only about 1 inch above the flame and work much better in terms of heating things up quickly and without a lot of lost fuel. Right now the inside prongs of the grate extend above the outside frame so even if this was fixed so that they were flush with the outside frame this would potentially fix the issue. Hopefully Bosch takes this review seriously and considers creating a replacement part that fixes this for your consumers who have already purchased this product and plan to use it for the next 20 years.

Everything I expected-and more
on July 28, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was replacing my nineteen-year-old slide-in range and spent considerable time researching. I knew I wanted a dual fuel range with five burners. The Bosch reputation for quality drew me to the 800 series. The features I wanted were all ther: powerful, sealed gas burners, self-cleaning electric oven, warming drawer, and a solid stainless steel structure. I waited two months to write a review so I could comment accurately.
The center burn boils water quickly. All burners adjust easily from full flame to barely a simmer. I love it! The oven is well illuminated, has seven rack positions, and the convection as well as the standard setting are accurate with no hot spots that I have detected. I love the warming drawer. I can open it with the touch of a toe when I'm holding a hot dish-so convenient! There is a proofing setting which I love. I haven't used the pizza setting yet, but I'm eager to try it. I have two minor criticisms: the volume on the timer chime and other indicators is very low. If I'm not in the immediate vicinity of the range, I do not hear the tome. I inquired, and there is no adjustment. The other criticism is that the preheat time is quite long-20+ minutes. There is a rapid preheat setting, but why not make that the default? It's a minor inconvenience, however.
It is a great range. Lots of features at a reasonable price. I'm looking forward to many years of cooking and baking on this range.

2 Small Burners?
on August 8, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we first got the stove, the oven didn't heat properly and had to have someone come out to replace some parts. I wish it had only 1 small burner and the rest larger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this after much research - wanted dual fuel and a professional look and found the 800 to meet all of our needs. Also - there are are only a few stoves on the market that have “lip” that overlaps the counter - looks built in and stays cleaner too. The design is simple and sleek. I was not sure how I was going to like the stainless stove top for cleaning - but I can tell you that it is so easy! 5 gas burners and electric convection - it’s perfect.
