Great - except self clean

I love this oven! Now the self cleaning feature gives me a chance to test customer service. Purchased new September 2015.
I ran the self-clean cycle tonight for the first time. The inner glass door panel exploded.
Turns out this is not unusual. I should have checked on Google...

Love this Oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Remodeled our kitchen and replaced everything with Bosch appliances. I could not be more happy with all of them, especially the wall oven. I would recommend this product to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought and installed a month back. Works well. we have used for baking pizzas, cup cakes etc. Not yet used all its features but it looks like this oven would perform well.

Extremely disappointed with this oven!

I was very excited for my new oven to arrive and be installed. Had been dealing with an old oven that that was unpredictable with a bad door hinge for a few months before deciding on buying the Bosch. I read all the reviews and was only worried about the simplest feature - (the timer!) not being loud enough to hear. Despite the one fault- I was so excited to start using my new oven. Quickly realized after first use that I did not like many features of this oven. I could not understand why I never saw any bad reviews on these features!! First and biggest complaint is the air blower (no I'm not talking about the convection!) After the oven heats up, and during the entire baking cycle, a stream of air is constantly blowing out of the slit between the control panel and the oven door. Its a force of air so strong that when I'm at my counter top about 3 feet away.. trying to sprinkle seasonings on whatever I'm cooking.. the air blows the seasonings away from my target (meat, sprinkles on cookies, etc ). Then Heaven forbid you stand in front of your oven when you open the door. The combo heat coming from the oven and the air blowing from the vent is extremely forceful - hot and blasts you in the face (seems to me to be a safety issue?) Also you instantly smell like whatever you are cooking. I have had to learn to stand to the side of my oven when I initially open the door to have the initial blast of heat not hit my face - not optimal for sure! I realize the electronics need cooling, but this is very poor design - I've had other ovens with electronics and never worried about being scorched when I opened the door! Hello? Hot air rises? Doesn't need forceful blower helping it to blast you when you open the door!! The second bad thing about this oven is my efforts on made from scratch baked goods are being wasted now. I'm 55 years old.. and I've been cooking and baking with different ovens all my life since about 10 years old. This is the first time in my life I hate my own cooking. All my baked goods (whether using convection or normal baking with this oven) come out horribly uneven. The bottoms of my cookies get dark before the tops/center is cooked. if I wait till lightly browned.. then my cookies are rock solid when I take them out! As for pies.. my prize winning Apple pies are no longer prize winning... again if I wait till filling is cooked.. the crust is crispy rock hard. The broil feature is also horrible in that the first time I used it.. somehow spatters blew all over the oven (again I wasn't using convection feature!) and I'm never able to broil on high even if the rack is middle to lower level! My new sparkling oven was a mess after the first time I broiled and every time there after. Needless to say I'm at a loss and very very sad over my oven as I used to enjoy baking /cooking and I no longer do. I can't afford another oven and I've given this one time for me to adjust to it ( about 6 months.. and I just could cry every time I use it. Not sure what to do! By the way, after the first couple weeks, I called the store where we bought the appliance, and had them come check out the oven . They indicated it was working as designed and found no issues with it. Maybe they don't cook/bake much?? The appliance rep said all the new ovens have blowers now, so even if I switched to another brand I'd have the same issue? This can't be true!?

Fit and finish plus convection cooking

Another great product from Bosch to compliment our dishwasher and microwave. So far the item has worked perfectly and we have alway gotten great quality from Bosch.

Great Oven to cook with!

Love cooking in the oven. The convection oven is new and still working to figure out that portion but love cooking in it either way. Best and even cooking when doing food including pies.

Beautiful Oven, Nice Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this oven for about 3 months, and we're happy with it overall. It takes some time to preheat and even longer to cool down, but it cooks evenly. The 3 racks allow for plenty of options, and the sliding rack works well. The 2 lights allow for good interior visibility. The controls make sense. We haven't explored the probe or convection features, or the additional preset modes, but we look forward to trying them.
