Flush Mount Wall Oven

I must admit, as an architect, aesthetics were a major criteria for selecting our replacement oven in our existing non-remodeled kitchen and this cleanly designed oven delivered. The ability to set the oven door flush with adjacent finishes is a nice feature but was a little tricky for this homeowner to pull off, read the installation instructions carefully and add an additional 2" to the rear clearance if the J-box is located directly behind oven. The control panel is easy to use and read, and the soft closing door is another nice feature. The oven seems to cook quickly and uniformly.
Now for the limited downside: The manual warns the oven will stink when turned on the first few minutes, actually it stinks for the first couple hours especially at temps above 400. The oven also exhaust a lot of cool air above the door, its noticeable on bare skin about two feet away, a bit annoying. Also, compared with other ovens in a similar price category, the enamel interior finish looks inferior.
Overall I would recommend this Eruo-styled, USA made oven, particularly for those who want a flush mount install.

More Than Just a Pretty Face

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When my oven quit working a week before Thanksgiving, I had to make a decision quickly. Since I had two ovens, my decision making process was doubly important. After reading many reviews, I felt that the Bosch was the best fit for me. I was a little concerned because many of the reviews discussed how beautiful the appliance was but did not go into detail about the features. I would like to say that the performance exceeded my expectations, and they are high. I have culinary and pastry degrees. I have done cooking classes out of my home and spent a month working in a bakery in Italy. What worked? Cookies baked perfectly. The temperature probe was simple to use and the telescopic rack made maneuvering the 23 pound turkey much safer. The roomy interiors accommodated holding the temperature of two turkeys and a ham in one, while I had three casseroles in the other. I already have a proofing feature in my warming oven but the Bosch proofing feature was a delight. My guests were fighting over the Parker House rolls. My profession requirements include preparing and speaking about food every day, but I can't wait to get home to start a new project in my Bosch ovens.

Awesome Oven

Its a great Oven!

The baking is very even and setting the temperature and other settings is very easy and straight forward. Another really nice design feature is the extending or telescoping rack which is very convenient and seems support a fair amount of weight.
I have to admit I have not used all the features yet including the self cleaning but understand it works well.
My only small critique is that timer bell is rather soft and can be easily missed if not rather near by.

Great convection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been suffering with another brand "convection" oven, and finally had had enough. I did extensive research on other convection ovens out there. I purchased the Bosch and I am thrilled. If I want just convection cooking (which I prefer), I have that option. I wasn't able to find that on other brands. My cookies are wonderful. And the shortened cook time is fantastic. The well lit interior is a real plus, and the design is beautiful.

More than we expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We removed the existing oven and expanded the opening to match the new Bosch 800 wall oven. The oven was simple for my wife and I to install. We both stepped back to admire how well it looked. We then did a quick skim of the operating instructions so that we could touch all the controls, there were so many features it was awesome.
We have this annual pizza party...and this oven has a baking mode for pizza. I am a regular bread baker...and this oven has a bread proofing setting which I will definitely use. Generally when I bake breads or muffins I use the convection setting so I mixed up a batch of Morning Glory muffins to test out this new oven. Perfect, the muffins rose and formed beautiful domes, baked through, and were ready on time. The dual interior lights and easy extension racks with the grab hole provided added convenience.
The display screen is nice.....I like the progressive indicator for timing the pre-heat cycle. It is easy to set the temperature and multiple timers really help.
One feature that helped make this Bosch 800 our choice was previous customers that had commented on how quiet the oven was even using the fan during convection cooking, it is quiet.
But, one feature we both appreciate is the No slam, gently self closing door.
The oven is functional, great looking, has an easy clean interior, easy to install, lots of baking features, and though priced a little higher, is worth every penny.

Holds Temp!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had other top of the line ovens, priced higher than this oven. Those ovens could not keep their set temperature. Very frustrating for an avid baker and cook. This oven is so far superior in maintaining its temperature. Very user friendly with a lock option on the touch screen so the setting can't be disturbed.
