Broken Display Bosch 27” Wall Oven HBN5451UC/04

On Thursday, January 16, 2020, we had a Bosch 500 Series 27” Single Wall Oven, Model No. HBN5451UC/04, professionally installed along with a second convection wall oven, microwave, and a gas cooktop, all Bosch brand appliances. The four-digit LCD (liquid crystal display)-style display that shows time and temperature is missing the same line element for each digit. When all elements are lit with zeros, the display should show “00:00,” but instead shows “66:66” except each “6” is reversed. The numbers “0,” “4,” “5,” “6,” “8,” and “9,” do not display correctly. Also, the oven arrived with what appeared to be shiny and black metallic shavings inside that could have easily been vacuumed as part of the manufacturing process before boxing the appliance for shipment to the consumer. FD No. 9911 00016, Manufactured in USA (no manufacturing date).

Exceptional Cooking Results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently remodeled our kitchen and shopped appliances for months and found the Bosch to have the best streamline/clean look for our galley kitchen. Using the Conventional Baking option was amazing providing even cooking and juicy results. The space inside provides the option of cooking more than one item at a time which I didn't have before. The clean up of the unit is easy.

Love the look and the ease of operation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have now had this oven for 3 months now. I found it easy to install and the directions were easy to follow. I love the look of the Bosch appliances. I don't cook much but my wife likes the cook and has been pleased with the ease of operations. The only thing that we have had to get used to is that it has a fan above the handle that stays on for a few minutes after the oven is off. This is a cooling mechanism and I haven't seen this in other ovens that I have owned in the past.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just used my oven for the first time as it was installed yesterday. So far I love it. Very easy to turn on and off and the temperature is very accurate. I like the design and the stainless steel goes well with my other appliances.

Wonderful oven!

This oven replaced a 24 inch Thermidor that gave us wonderful service for many years but was ready to go. I love the greater capacity, self cleaning feature, LED lighting, easy operation and the knobs that are usually longer lasting than the electronic touch controls. So far it has cooked everything with much greater precision than our old oven. It has the option of bake, convection bake, roast, convection roast, broil, pizza and more. It looks beautiful in the kitchen as well.

Works.. as good as it looks!

We like the well lit interior, analog knob for temperature, handhold gap in racks and the self-cleaning feature. The only drawbacks we've discovered so far are the low volume chime and finicky touch pad.

Terrific oven
