Everything you could want in a laptop and accessory bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My trusty laptop bag that has seen three laptops come and go was on its last leg, so this Samsonite laptop backpack arrived to save the day. I hadn't had a laptop backpack before, but having used it for a while now, I can say I REALLY like the extra storage over a regular case-style laptop bag, and it's just as convenient as the old worn-out case style one I had before. The one I have is navy and black, which is not flashy, but it gets the job done in every way I need it to, and then some. The laptop compartment is closest to where the backpack rests if it's on your back, and there's a handy icon on the compartment with a picture of a laptop in case you're not sure what goes where. The main large front area of the backpack is the best place I found to store the huge power adapter Dell XPS 15 laptops come with these days. There's a thin divider that runs top to bottom inside this roomy compartment. My only complaint is I wish that thin divider only ran about halfway down so it was easier to get to my AC adapter when I need it. Same thing for the cover of this compartment - there's a felt-lined flap that goes all the way down, but I wish it was a little shorter so I didn't have to dig so deep to fish out my AC adapter. That's really the only quibble I have with the whole case, and it's admittedly small. First-world problems. The largest compartment on the front of the backpack that runs from the middle to the bottom has an icon of a tablet inside when you open it, so I'm assuming it's designed for a tablet. However, there's a TON of compartments within this compartment, obviously made for pens/pencils, business cards, and a smaller zippered compartment, so this is a jack-of-all-trades pouch that I used for kind of everything except a tablet. Worked great. Like all the Samsonite stuff I've had over the years, it feels very substantial and well-made, easily worth what they sell for. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Utility versus style

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Modern Utility GT Laptop Backpack is a practical and high quality backpack. It seems very durable and the material and zippers look heavy duty. There are a lot of storage spaces for things like laptops, tablets, books, and other items. My biggest gripe is that it's not a very stylish looking backpack. It's boxy and I would have preferred a black or gray color.It also lacks practical pockets for putting a water bottle. It would be a decent backpack for work or anywhere where you carry a laptop around often. I don't know if I would use it as a daily backpack because I would prefer something that was both attractive and practical to use. Overall, I would not recommend it for most people because of the lack of style.

Cons: Unattractive

Great for commuting!

This backpack provides a LOT of room to carry the needed items and protects my laptop and tablet in amazing ways while also providing for comfort. If you're torn on which item to purchase for your commute or family trip....this is the one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love all the organizational pockets and dividers. The scan smart feature is beyond brillant. The padding on the back and straps is substantial and wonderfully comfortable. Haven't been able to fill it to capacity yet. I use it for travel, it would probably be too large for a daypack-for me.

The shape and adjustability of the straps makes the bag extremely comfortable and it looks stylish. It has a convenient handle on the top to keep it upright if needed, as well. The bag securely holds your laptop in place and there are plenty of storage pockets to hold your wireless mouse, power cords, and even ergonomic mouse pads. You can keep your files papers crisp and flat in the one storage pouch, while keeping your pens and pencils in another pouch. You can store your cell phone, tablet, or snacks in yet another pouch. I have not had any issues with durability as it still looks new and there have been zero snags. I would definitely purchase this as a gift for someone and I would take it on trips just about anywhere. The style, durability, comfort, and capacity make this laptop bag optimal.

Great and useful backpack!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was excited about all the pockets in it and organization of those pockets which made it very easy to organize and quickly retrieve everything we put in it. I found it very useful for bringing to work and everyday use and also for weekend trips to help organize everything. The zippers were high quality and functioned with No problem. Liked the extra padding on the back made it more comfortable and protected contents. I was not in Love with the look of it and also found that just the bag empty was a little heavier then the would have liked. Depending on what the cost of the bag is I would recommend for use .

Great backpack - love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very well designed Laptop Backpack. It doesn't look or work like something that was just thrown together on a whim with cheap materials. After thoroughly checking it over and using it regularly I haven't found any flaws. Everything is holding up and working properly. My favorite aspect is all of the easily accessible pockets. There's storage spots everywhere and I haven't experienced a single stuck zipper on any of them. When I have them stuffed full the bag has still held its normal shape pretty well, and doesn't become bloated like cheap 'big box store' bags do, which is important to me. I also find it far more comfortable and easier to carry on my back than those cheaper bags too. What really matters the most is that my laptop has remained unaltered by being carried in this bag. Even when I've sat it on the ground outside or ran with it on my back through the rain a short distance from my vehicle. I wasn't aware of this bag or company until recently, I definitely think I'll be sticking with them now and recommending them to anyone I know who's searching for a good bag for their valuable devices.
