Hard to clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 3rd pasta maker I've owned and, by far, the hardest to clean. It's tricky to get in between all of the pieces but ultimately is doable.
The instructions with the recipe is also a bit confusing. When you measure out the liquid make sure you are counting the egg as part of the measurement, otherwise your mixture will be goop instead of pasta. Once I tossed my goop and remade it I was pretty happy with the result. I bolied it with just a bit of salt and topped it with a light pesto sauce and the pasta was very good.
I do believe I won't use it as often as my old machine because of the complexity of the cleaning process, otherwise I was pretty satisfied with this machine.

This pasta maker is very simple to use and very quick !! The only drawback i found was the plates for the different pastas. The spaghetti plate is great however the macaroni plate is useless! Would be perfect if you could use it!

I always want buy Philip pasta maker, I have lots friend have it, but the perium one is too big for me. Until to I saw this viva one. I bought that right way. Love to use that. It's so quite and my pasta turns out so good! Never gonna buy dry pasta again.
Pros: easy to use, easy to tidy up after use, make pasta in very short time

I have finally been able to use my machine for the first time. I am on a low carb diet so tried to use other types of flour instead of regular flour. The measurements on the recipe book were just slightly off, in my opinion, but once I got it right the machine did well. Never totally emptied the chamber when done with the cycle, so I had to do the extra cycle. All in all a good machine.

The product is stylish enough and small enough to sit on the counter! The provided measuring cups make pasta recipes simple and delicious. The machine is also quiet and quick while mixing and extruding pasta. The possibilities are truly endless when it comes to different types/flavors of pasta with the Philips. I don’t use boxed pasta anymore due to how quick and easy this machine makes the pasta making process.
