[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two other lg air conditioners like this one but the 8000 btu. So I needed one in my living room/kitchen. I figured the 10,000 would do the job and so far it has. The test will be the 90 + degree days with humidity. But so far it is working well.

This unit is two years old from Lowes. It has been used probably a total of 60 to 90 days and only part of those days. So very few hours. It does not cool now and I have done everything the manual said to do step by step. I tried to find a repair service but Lowes bagged out on that. The services they referred me to did not do portable ACs. I am going to take this unit and drop it on Lowes floor and let them toss it away. I'm not going to pay to dump it. You make these ACs to fail so we buy more. I've call your company with not help and hate LG. I am buying something else and tell people while I'm in the store to not buy the LG and will tell them the whole story

I have had the LG AC unit now for about 3 weeks. It is installed in our bedroom to keep the room cool at night so we do not have to run our full house AC unit all night. The LG unit works well, cools down the 300 sq ft bedroom just fine, and never has to have water removed manually. The only problem we had was hooking up the hose from the unit to the window. The connections to the hose brackets is primitive and really is difficult to make. Also, the plastic window spacer is flimsy, and I have to use duct take to cover the holes around the window. I am also using duct tape to hold the hose to hose brackets on each end. LG should have done better in designing the hose connections to the brackets and supplying a better window

Its common where I live to have over 100 degree days and this AC unit keeps us nice and cool and I love that there is no need to remove my window screens to vent the unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this air conditioner in the midst of a heat wave and so happy that we did! We live in a small cabin ( tiny house) where in the past it has stayed stuffy and humid even with a window unit. After the previous unit began to grow mold (EW!) We decided we need something with a built in dehumidifier and would cool our home quickly. This AC unit did exactly that. It was quick to install, though a bit cumbersome due to the weight of the hose. Overall, it does exactly what we need and cools and removes excess humdity from a room within an hour. We are pleased with our unit so far and hoping it lasts the test of time. I like the convient remote that you can control the AC with from across the room.
