Works Decently

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this product earlier this week. We purchased this one to use in our master bedroom and bathroom area. It did cool the bathroom down, but didn't put a dent in the bedroom. The bathroom is about 8 X 8 feet and this unit is supposed to support 15 X 20 (300 square feet). It is definitely not capable of supporting anything even close to that. I am disappointed as this was a very expensive machine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can’t believe this doesn’t come with a drain hose and the special fitting needed to connect the drain hose !!!

Quiet and cold!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this when we had a window unit that needed to be replaced. I am so pleased with this unit and will certainly buy more in the future. I recommend to anyone who is considering buying a window ac. It was easier to hook up than a window unit, quieter than a window unit and cooler than a window unit and looks so much nicer. I have no complaints whatsoever.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, Performance, Quality, easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using this for the whole summer, and it's been a great purchase for the money.
It was relatively easy to install, and has been operating like a champ since we got it. Not too noisy (we actually like a little white noise while sleeping, so YMMV on this point) and it certainly keeps our room at the right temperature.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is outstanding. As hot as it may be outside, in here it's cold enough to raise penguins. If I accidentally spilled a glass of water on the floor, I can ice skate ten seconds later. Only problem is the thermostat: I think it must be physically close to the output heat duct. I say that because, while it's FRIGID in here, I have to set the thermostat to, like, 76 to get the compressor to cycle on and off reasonably. If I left it at 72, which is what the temperature probably actually is in here, it would be snowing in my bedroom!
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Performance, Quality
It does not cool the room as well as our other LG with front venting. The unit is fairly noisy in high setting only. Have only used it about 1 month. We will see how it does next summer. Portable air conditioners are over- priced.
Pros: Style/Design, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not portable

It seems like the whole premise of this machine is to be able to move it from room to room as needed. I can't comprehend how such an advanced piece of technology could have such a poor venting solution. It comes with an adhesive foam for an air tight seal that instructs you to stick to the sash/frame of the window, not the panel itself? So what do I have for the second window? Or better yet, when winter comes how do I remove this adhesive so I can actually close the window and later reuse? If you've ever worked with this stuff, removal is a mess... It feels very permanent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
