Worst Air Conditioner Ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this last summer as a back up because I knew my regular air conditioner was about to go and didn’t want to be left without an air conditioner. I literally never took it out of the box until a few days ago. My fiancé set it up - who has done HVAC work for many years so setting up a portable air conditioner was a piece of cake.
I live in a TINY apartment, maybe 400 square ft. We had a 6,000BTU air conditioner that cooled off the whole apartment and we bought this one bc it was the only one available, thinking 10,200BTU would be absolute overkill but it’s not. It can’t even cool my bedroom which is only about 120 square feet.
We turned it on at 10am - at 5pm the temperature has dropped 5 degrees in my bedroom. And it pretty much only cools its direct area because the vent faces upwards.
We have tried all the troubleshooting available on the website and in the manual. Nothing helps. This is the biggest waste of money and I’m certain that the good reviews on this thing are not real.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only use this for the summer had used it 2 summers worked great the first one after that it has been nothing but headaches it works when it wants to warranty is not the best they just say you need to clean the coil and we don’t do that we only change parts so you end up on square one I have 2 units and both have the same issue one even has like some water spraying with the air when turning on 2 years and I just went and bought new units

Excellent Cooling power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this AC unit several weeks now and I could not be more happier. I have a 1600 sq. ft. home with AC intake in the rear of my home. I could not stand when we cooked in the kitchen during summer months because it became very warm and I only have one air intake in my home which in the rear of my home. I didn't realize I could use this unit and to cool off the kitchen area. I've vented the AC unit out of a dining room window and it cools the kitchen & dining area very nicely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I still haven't been able to find out how to turn the timer on and off, otherwise it's worked great and is very nice. You don't have to routinely dump the water out, it recycles the water from the moisture it catches. Which is very nice!
