We’ve moved it once from another window closer to my central a/c thermostat and I can honestly say since installing and setting it on 77 degrees the house inside thermometer stays pretty consistent at 78 and doesn’t go above 79 now compared to previously hitting 83-84 degrees inside temperature reading which kept the central unit running all day into the night most times unless it was raining or really overcast skies. So all in all we are well pleased with this unit. I’ve heard complaints about it being noisy like a window unit. I don’t agree with that. Yes you can hear it but we are still able to watch tv in the next room at normal volume.

Working Great, but Make Your Own Window Seal Kit

Now we've seen temps in the 90s, I can review. All 3 of these units are doing a great job. The 2 units upstairs work a bit harder, hotter upstairs. The downstairs unit is cooling a large open floor plan very well with some extra fans to move the cool air. No need to empty condensate yet, but we only get 80% humidity here. Noise is less than a window fan, units are set to 65 F and running all the time. Exhaust hose plumbing, window seal, and good solid power receptacle are very important for best performance. And the the window kit provided with the unit is almost worthless, you need a woodshop to make your own window seal. Could this be your excuse to finally buy that tablesaw?
