It's actually quiet I had the same size only a window AC and I had to return it the thing was at least twice as loud. I highly recommend this unit. This is while we are having a heat wave here in New England .

Just what we needed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With temps in the 90's here in NH, we needed to cool our upstairs master bedroom. We've been using this unit for two weeks and are very pleased with its' performance. Right now it is 90 degrees outside and we have the unit set to cool to 70 with fan on low and the inside room thermostat shows 70. Can't ask for more than that!

The room is attached to our garage which seems to keep it hot. With this portable unit the heat is gone and our children can enjoy the room again.
