[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A decent standard portable AC unit. The documentation is rather weak. It would be nice if it explained the various modes more clearly. For instance, in COOL mode, the fan runs at all times, but only turns on the compressor when the temperature is above your setting. This can be confusing to people who are used to space heaters which completely cut off after the desired temp is reached. It would be great if the fan were optional after the temp is reached, because it's still fairly loud on its own. The TIMER setting could also do with at least a few sentences explaining the options and operation.
It would also be very helpful if it showed the current temperature along with the desired temp. Cheap space heaters do this so I was surprised to see this feature missing.
My vertical window was a bit too tall to fit the adapter panels as instructed, but I was able to make it fit using all 4 panels (the instructions only list using 3 out of 4 at most). Not sure why this isn't a listed option.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works great for a small unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my home office that has very small,skinny windows. I installed the the unit with ease and I was happy I had no issues with it since I am not mechanically inclined. My husband usually does this sort of thing.
The vent tube fit right in the window with the hardware and I did not have to do much. I turned the unit on and I was surprised at how cool it got very quickly with the setting on 72 degrees. I switched to COOL/LOW and it was really nice and somewhat quiet. Not too loud as some reviews I read had mentioned.
I am glad I bought this portable air conditioner. I am quite happy and the 10,000 BTU is perfect for the spare bedroom too! It was easy to roll in there and install the vent tubing so my guest could be comfortable.
We liked the unit so well that we bought 2 of them for the upstairs.
Its sleek and cute. Not in the way. I would recommend this.

Great solution to our broken A/C system

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just moved into a place that is an older mid-mod building downtown and 1/2 of our main walls are floor to ceiling glass windows. The building AC went out again the second day we moved in and naturally the HOA we pay a ridiculous amount for can't "fix the issue for weeks". Even on the first level, our place heats up quick. Summers in Denver can be pretty hot even w/o humidity. 90-100 degree days.
This is our 2nd one we bought, the first one is in our bedroom and this one is in the lenai. They work great and aren't loud.
They do take up a little more space than I hoped for but for the cool comfortable air I will deal. I do wish they made the hose that connects to the window a bit more flexible so it could sit closer/more flush to the wall.
Im pretty OCD so i'm sure some people don't see it as much as an eye sore as I do.
I do appreciate the sleek design and the auto up and down fan mode so it can circulate lower and higher air better.
My boyfriend installed them and even though he's a very handy guy it seemed pretty quick, easy to install. Make sure you have a window that opens side to side not vertical.
