Undependable and erratic

We bought this unit last summer when our hvac was down and it worked fine. Two months ago we took it to our cabin and we’ve had nothing but trouble since then. My husband discovered it was not blowing exhaust outside. It was not cooling but just sort of recirculating air. Two weeks ago I reset the unit with the plug’s reset button and it worked. Last week, same problem but it wouldn’t reset. We gave up. Now, thanks to COVID, or so the automated message says, no one with customer support will call me. Left my call back number two days in a row! I’d like to resolve this before my warranty expires. Not happy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used portable a/c's for 15 years, so I'm no stranger. This one is just ok... Pros: it's easy to set up, and relatively small. Cons: it only has 2 speeds, every other one I've had had 3 speeds. On High this does not cool as well as I would expect (and it's a closed room that is never below 78 degrees, so there shouldn't be a problem with cooling the room). It's also louder than I expected based on the specs. I also find it odd that it only displays the set temperature, not the actual room temperature (like every other a/c I've owned). For now this one suffices, but I probably won't buy an LG again.
The technician was unappropriated with comments like are you ready to hate me, I been doing this for over 20 years, you husband wouldn't want me to come at three in the morning to hear the sound on the air conditioner and left the house with all his sarcastic comments closing the claim saying it was fix. after a month and 3 visits, more than 20 calls and emails to the presidential email nothing has been done or no one has returned my calls.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like all the LG products we’ve owned, this little work horse is no exception. Bought this to temporarily cool our AZ home when our A/C broke. This is carrying us through until ours house unit is fixed.
All I can say you guys need more training even I figure out the problem my self and I got my portable ac back and running. Thanks for your advise even dose not work as plan goes.
