[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product about a month ago, because we needed an extra unit to reduce the work load of our main unit, as I was installing this product I was amazed at how nice and well thought out the design it possess. I was mesmerized on how easy it was to connect to the internet and be able to select temperature and check the status of the filter just to name a few of the wonderful features this AC unit has to offer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very satisfied with my new Frigidaire smart air conditioner. It looks great and it’s quieter then my old Frigidaire AC that I replaced. I love that I can ask Alexa from the comfort of my bed to set the thermostat higher or lower without getting out of bed.

WiFi issues + design not as good as expected

We splurged on this air conditioner to have WiFi control and immediately regretted it. The app is sorely lacking features or a reasonably user-friendly experience and the machine continuously fails to connect to Wi-Fi in the last step of setup. It isn't far from the router and the internet connection is fine, evidenced by various other smart devices with no problem connecting. On top of that, the machine isn't as pretty as it seemed in pictures and it sticks out into the room. It's also on the heavy side for new 10,000 BTU units and the trade-off for the WiFi and design features isn't as good as expected. The buttons on the machine are only so-so in ease of use and responsiveness.
UPDATE: After about two-dozen tries (seriously) between me and my husband, the app finally showed the AC as connected, only after re-opening it. We enabled the Alexa skill and found there are painfully minimal voice commands: on/off and change temp. You can't change the mode or speed by voice as of July 2018, though those are in the app. It periodically states there's a connection error in both the app and from Alexa, but it then seems to work if you try again after a few minutes. The temperature reading on the app has not been matching what the AC shows on its face, sometimes by one degree and up to five degrees off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
