So great we bought multiple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love everything about my chic pre-war apartment except the lack of central AC. Clunky, ugly in-window units do not really fit with the overall design aesthetic so, I admit, I initially purchased the Fridigaire Smart AC almost entirely on looks and the belief that the app and Alexa integrations would be at least novel, if ultimately superfluous, features.
From an aesthetic perspective, I have not been disappointed. The design is sleek and modern and as unobtrusive as any in-window unit could hope to be. The app and Alexa integration have proven to be more valuable than initially expected, allowing me to begin cooling the apartment on my way home, regardless of the specific time, and allowing me to monitor the temperature remotely and turn on the air when I worry that it’s gotten too hot for the dog.
But most importantly, the unit WORKS. It is able to cool the apartment quickly and effectively. In fact, we loved the one we bought for the bedroom so much that we bought a second one to replace our living room unit.
The one potential downside is that, like all AC units, it’s a bit noisy. I find the ambient noise to be relaxing, but if low noise is a priority of yours, this might not be the best unit for you. Otherwise, I highly recommend.

Great Unit Little Loud

It has multiple settings and the fact that I can adjust it when I’m not home through my phone is incredible. It is however a little loud. We replaced our 10+ year old unit with this one and the old one was definitely quieter. Besides that it’s great!
