Cools great but....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed the unit about 2 months ago, and we love the job it does. The only thing we don't like is the vent is on the top of the unit instead of the front and the display is not lit up all the time. The air blowing out of the top is not the problem, it is the dust and such that falls down in it when i clean the window above it. I have ro remember to turn it off (which i thought it was off because the display was not lit up.. but it was on) and then cover the top before dusting the blinds. I will get used to it, but it has been a pain to clean around.

This one unit cools my 1200 sq ft home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a small cape home with no central AC. I chose to not install the central AC system because my daughter has bad allergies. I reserached many units and found this smart air conditioner that has it own user app you control on your cell phone. This was just what I was looking for and needed. I have the app set to turn the unit on at 430pm so that it cools my home when I get out of work. By the time I return that evening; my home is nice and cool. I absolutely recommend this unit to anyone. Works GREAT!

Thank you for providing us with your helpful feedback. There are many factors that could cause the experience you are encountering with your air conditioner. The sounds you are experiencing could be due to improper installation. I would recommend reviewing your installation manual here- http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodinfo_pdf/Edison/16120300a11362.pdf to confirm your unit is properly installed.
If your unit is not cooling properly, please check the temperature settings, make sure ice is not forming on the coils, check the air filter, and louvers should be properly positioned.
Your WiFi connection/signal and phone carrier signal may also cause the app not to work properly. Please feel free to contact the smart appliance line at 1-800-311-4667 for any additional questions you may have.
