Not impressed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago for the energy rating. I use an energy monitor on my electrical panel and I'm happy with that part.
This unit is the same size as my other unit but doesn't cool nearly as well.
It's my opinion it doesn't cool a room as well because the air comes out the top instead of the front and only goes straight up and doesn't get dispersed into the room.
If Frigidaire fixes the direction the air blows I think this would be a great unit. As of right now I would not buy it again.

The 2-Way air directional louvers allow you to direct the air flow Left or Right throughout the room as needed. To adjust the air directional louvers side-to-side, use the center handle as you move it side-to-side.

Terrible ac unit, even worst iOS app

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Main problem: it is installed correctly in my window, yet drain pan drains indoors. Pice of trash. Lesser problem: the iOS app is terrible. It's slow, it's insecure and worst of all, the functionality is limited. For example I would like to schedule the unit from AC to FAN mode during the night, yet that's not possible.

The Window AC Unit Ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit a year ago and we have been very happy with it. It’s the quietest window AC I have ever used. The design with the vent on the top really gets the air circulating around the entire room (and next two rooms) quickly. Lastly, the app that comes with the AC is really easy to use. I will buy this again if I need to replace other AC units in our home!

While the unit does look nice in the window it is woefully inadequate at doing the one simple job it was designed for. To start, my remote not only arrived unusable but the entire face of it fell off and won’t stay on. I thought it would be fine since I can use my phone as a remote. This also was a fail because the schedule I set in the app is not followed at all. I tired setting up a simple schedule of keeping my room at 72 degrees, but I end up at almost 80 degrees and then it turns on for five minutes and then back off again. So, I thought, "Fine. I'll remove the on-app schedule and just leave it set on 72 like an old-school unit and it still comes nowhere close to keeping the temp. One minute is 68 degrees the next it's 80 and the unit turns on and off without changing the temp in the room. It's like living with a 2-year-old trying to make up its mind! The latest fun is now the filter light. I read through the manual and watched a few videos even to make sure I wasn't missing something about turning the light off. I have cleaned the filter several times, unplugged, re-plugged, vacuumed the inside, gone in the app, and tired running it to see if it would go away after a few minutes but nothing will turn the filter light off. Everything I have seen say to push the filter button but there is no button on this model, just the light. I really didn't want to have to drag this 70 lb. mammoth back to the store for a return and now I'm passed my 30 days so it looks like I'm stuck with the world best looking yet worst functioning air conditioner invented! Buy something else!

Wifi, remote and app are TERRIBLE and do not work

We bought this A/C two years ago and in that time, the remote has never worked. We downloaded the app and upgraded the app that can be used to run the A/C and it will connect to wifi for only a few seconds before shutting off. Terrible Terrible. Buy something else! I never leave negative reviews, but a hunk of what you are paying for is the Wifi/remote capabiities and the don't exist.
