Exactly what I hoped it would be!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this unit a month ago for the wireless features and I absolutely love it! I can turn my air on/off on my way home and control the temperature. Also can set a schedule for different times and my unit automatically comes on. App was a little shaky at first but doing better since update. The only con of this unit is it is a little loud but I can overlook that for the pros. Keeps my room nice and cold

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I've had this for about a month or so. It's been working very well. The Wifi feature is convenient and was simple to set up. (but I do work in the IT industry so...yeah). The app is simple to use and is available for Android and iOS. You have the options of changing all the settings that are shown on the unit from within the app. It's fairly quick too.
The only things that bothered me are...
When you turn it on, it doesn't remember the temp or settings you had it set at. It defaults to a factory setting of 72 degrees. Which means you always have to bump it down to your desired temp when you first turn it on.
And it also is set at Eco mode by default so if you don't want it shutting off on you right away, you have to change that to "Cool". Otherwise if it's already just 1 degree below 72 in the room, the unit will shut off (saving you power) and won't turn on again until the room goes above 72.
It's only annoying at first when you don't know what's happening. After that, you just make sure to set it to "Cool" and bump the temp down to where you want it. Then you can set it to Eco if you'd like and it will turn off when it reaches YOUR desired temp.
Getting to the filter in this is just too easy. I've seen easy before, but wow! The front grill just slides towards you exposing the filter. I haven't removed the filter yet because I don't have to. I'm interested in seeing how well the alert works. Yep, it is supposed to alert you when the filter needs to be cleaned.
The unit is attractive and since it blows air upward, it can cool the room more effectively than the front facing window ACs.
Some say it's loud. But hey what do you want, it's a window AC. It's no any louder than the old one I had. It's actually a little more white because of it being new. You want quite, get central air or a Ductless mini split system. Either one of those will run you into the thousands. Compared to a few hundred buck for this.
This window AC is a decent buy. And yep, I'd recommend it.

Beautiful and it really cools

Excellent features and filtering

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got it about a month ago and installed it. I have been very pleased with the unit and it's operation. Once insulated properly there is no transfer from outside to in. I spray foamed the outside accordion panels and the top and underneath to create an air and water tight barrier since the unit will remain in place. It looks very nice inside and is much quieter than my old unit. It's very smart and only runs when it needs to if you set on eco mode just like home a/c. Keeps out pollen and other junk and insulated properly makes no change in house temps due to heat transfer from outside. Good features.

VERY Noisy!

This thing was like having a truck running in your bedroom. In fact, you could hear it running outside of the bedroom door and I have a 250 square foot bedroom! And the window, that this unit was in, is at the opposite end of the bedroom from the door!
So, I uninstalled it out loud from the window, packed it back in the box and took it right back to the store and got my money back!
Save yourself the time, the money and the hassle ....get something else!
