Looks great - works meh

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an older 6,000 btu unit with this 8,000 btu unit. I guess I'm a little disappointed because I expected more from a larger unit. The system looks great, I like the sleek controls and the iPhone app is good, but unnecessary.
There may be a design flaw from making it look better, the air is blown up instead of out, I had to purchase a fan to blow it across the room.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cold air and mobile control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two of these now, and I'm pleased with them. They cool very effectively, and I like that I can control them from my phone. They're programmable, and they come with remote controls, but the app allows viewing and control of multiple devices — pretty sweet for a window unit. Recommended.

Love the new look! Works more like a 12k BTU

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new design looks great. The new filter design works well. Finally some innovation. The wifi and app functions are a good start. The unit doesn't always connect properly. Still with the few app problems, beats walk all the way upstairs just to start it by hand. Only have to exit app and try again once maybe twice. This unit also moves the cold air to the opposite side of the room. NJ hot and humidity is not easy to deal with but this unit does the job.
Also noticed the new Portable AC units that have been redesigned....really from scratch. The Cylinder models.
I would recommend this to a friend!
