Works great! Modern look!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] AC broke during heat wave. The repair tech could not come out for 3 days and I have a contract for repair service. Good luck finding a repair tech sooner during a heat wave. I bought this portable unit to keep my sanity from the extreme heat. This unit kept my main floor really cold for the 3 days that I used it. I placed a fan behind the unit to circulate the cool air to a greater distance pushing some of the cool air to the second level floor. I live in a town home, so not sure how well it will do in a larger home. The only issue I have with the unit is I wasn't comfortable cutting the plastic to size the window vent, so I left it alone for fear of cracking the adjustable slider. It had some overlap, but it still worked fine. A problem that I ran into is that the window used to vent the hot air has an Alarm sensor that had to be disabled. So, a burglar would easily be able to breach the window if you worry about things like that. The unit does not come with a water discharge hose, so you may want to pick one up if you buy this unit. I had an extra hose at home to use, but it would be nice if this unit came with a hose included. I would not have been happy to get home and have to go back to to the hardware store to buy a hose in 100 degree heat. It took about 10 minutes to setup and cool air came rushing out almost instantly after powered on. The unit may be heavy to carry in its box for some people. Box carton was packed really well. I did not have any struggles getting unit out of box. I have stored unit in basement since my AC central AC has been repaired, but plan on having this for years for any future breaks or to loan to family and friends if they lose AC in their homes. Overall this was a good purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Frigidaire - FFPA1222T1 cools the air and reduces humidity as advertised. An excellent investment. I have not had to use my wall unit A/C since I purchased the Frigidaire - FFPA1222T1, and I have already seen a significant savings in electricity bill. Highly recommended!

Cool but loud and noisy

I bought this in July but had to return it to the store, it was noisy even when it was turned off made a screeching irritating noise, seem I got a faulty one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a portable air conditioner from other company. It had recall. The technician came and did something. After that it collected so much water from condensation. It only had a drain outlet on the bottom. I had to empty water every hour or even more often on the humid days. It was so inconvenient. I couldn't even use it at night. In several weeks, it stopped working.
I went to the store. I saw Frigidaire and the other brand that I had before. I wanted to try Frigidaire.
I like its design, it cools the room well. It has two drain outlets - one on the bottom and the other one in the middle for Continuous Drainage. Continuous Drainage comes in handy on humid days.
I would recommend this to a friend!
