Smaller than expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We went from a unit that had the freezer on the top to a side by side. This unit was the only side by side with the right dimensions. I thought this unit would be more accessible for my husband who is in a wheelchair. Because of the three drawers on the bottom, he has trouble reaching things and the freezer is not as big as I anticipated. My next purchase will not be a side by side.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The only negative is the ice dispenser. If ice drops it goes on the floor. The drain is too small to catch it.

Long lasting

Bought this in Oct because my old Whirlpool, 22 years old, finally went on strike. Slightly bigger than the old one but still fit perfectly into the space. Features are the same as my old one. Only complaint is the vegatable bin drawer does not slide open/close smoothly. It has to be jiggled to close it. The plastic drawer doesn't seem quite as heavy/thick as the old one giving it a flimsy feel. Other than that, I have no complaints so far. I hope it lasts for 22 years!
