Defective

Regret that I did. Did not cool from day 1. Repair tech did not come out when he was supposed to (4 days later), rescheduled for another 10 days later, and no showed. Advised by the store to purchase a new one to do an "even exchange" but 3 weeks later, they have still not credited the return. Still in the process of resolving this issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Side-by-Side Refrigerator replaced a similar model I had had for over 23 years! The old one was still working well, but was beginning to make a few troubling noises. This new one is great! Hope it lasts as long as the old one! This one is a little deeper than the old one, so that is very good. It fills all my needs, and fits in my limited space. I would give it five stars if the shelves in the freezer were more adjustable. I like it, and I highly recommend it! The price is fair for the product.

33 inch side by side fridge

because i am finally able to properly organize my fridge and freezer. i love the side by side vs the bottom drawer as i use the freezer alot and now i can easily have access to everything, and properly place it.

Excellent Features - Excellent Price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had to replace a seventeen-year-old fridge made by another manufacturer. We recently purchased a Whirlpool gas range - and love it - so we decided to stay with Whirlpool for our fridge.It has a very understated, sleek appearance, yet has stainless steel handles for those who like that look. It will coordinate very well with other stainless steel appliances, yet retains the classic look of white.The inside is laid out very well with three of the four shelves on the refrigerator door able to accommodate gallon jugs. You can easily see all the shelves, and in to the three ample drawers without having to open them, which helps you take a quick inventory, and reduces waste.An optional icemaker is available.The freezer is larger than other side-by-sides we've had. There's plenty of room for several oversized frozen pizzas, and adequate door storage for smaller items.The lights come on gradually, which is a nice feature for those midnight raids.We're very pleased with this unit. No regrets.

Needed a new fridge

I actually HAD, yes I said HAD to purchase this refridgerator. Why? I have a VERY small kitchen with cabinets over the fridge area, a door to the cellar right in the same area, and barely room for a table. Space is quite limited. This, literally, was the only side by side available without a water dispenser that was the right size for my space. I had no other purchasing choices...and I bought it sight unseen, as the store(s) do not keep this in stock. There were many more choices in my size range 15 years ago! I can't possibly be the only home in America that has a small kitchen, or one that does not want a water dispenser on the fridge! With that said, I have to say that I disagree with other reviews which state it is a noisy fridge. Mine is not, and I barely hear it when it's running...maybe because is does not have a water dispenser. I have only had this fridge for about 2 months, so I cannot say how well it will hold up. I am praying it will last for a long, long time. I purchased this with the stainless steel front (sides are grey) and the other choices were black and white. Like other stainless steel fridges, it does stain easily. Room in the fridge area is adequate and fairly well lit with 2 LED lights. The drawers and shelves do not go all the way to the back wall leaving about 1 - 1 1/2 inches of space at the back whereby something small can be knocked off a shelf. I have had to retrieve things a few times already which means removing one of the bottom drawers if it falls down that far. The freezer area is little and if, like me you like to cook large batches of food and freeze for later use, or purchase multiple items when they are on sale, this is not the fridge for you. There is only one light on the side wall that gets covered up when the freezer is full, making it hard to see items. This model fridge came with two ice trays, but no dedicated area to store them. While that is OK when frozen, not so much when you put water in to freeze. I would image that this fridge would work as a second fridge for most people, and for that purpose it is a good choice. I, however, feel like I have to purchase another smaller, fridge to place in my cellar to store items that do not fit in this one.

Second Refrigerator in Garage

We needed another refrigerator for the garage as I like to buy in bulk and wanted one without the water on the outside door, and this was the only one we could find without it. It is perfect for our needs!

We needed a smaller refrigerator to fit into an existing space, wanted a side by side, and had no access to plumbing. This was perfect. We have had for over a month. It comes with 3 bins, and we removed two and are just using the shelves that were on top of the bins, which works out well for our needs. Very pleased.

Refrigerator shelves and drawers are transparent (glass and plastic) so you can see what you have on hand easily. Adjustment is simple. Freezer has plentiful shelves and lots of door storage as well. Bottom bin is useful for large items. And ... both refrigerator and freezer maintain temperature very well. Finally - the unit is extremely good-looking, and VERY quiet..
