We bought two of these garbage disposals as part of our kitchen renovation but they are very noisy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The unit is fairly noisy and has to run several seconds before water will even go down.

We replaced an existing GE disposal with a new quieter model. Installation was simple for an old guy to follow. Not as quiet as we would have liked, but it is much quieter than our old disposal.
I would recommend this to a friend!
